I know dedicated support players that actively avoid gunfights if possible (they know they cant win em) but they will always run a valk, a lesion, a therm or a thatch. They give intel, plant, smoke, open up walls. Nothing said above impacts kd

Arty Theta I’m basically a dedicated support for my group. I can frag if I need to but I love playing valk, Mira, thermite, etc. My best friend who does a lot of our fragging will straight up tell people that I’m the best support he ever had and have handed him multiple aces because he knew exactly where everyone was from me feeding him info.

(Mistake, I should've waited to know the game better) and now I'm a gold player close to plat level 152 with a .8 k/d. I just decided to stop caring cause people with give you shit if you're a plat with a negative k/d

If you planted defuser and its better to kill time than getting some easy kills but risk your life its smarter to kill time and win the round. Of course you should be good at gunfights and try to improve your aim etc. but its definitely not the most important thing. Also there are people who save kd and rather lose a round. Thats the point macie makes at 27:00 Also there people who give other players shit for a negative kd which is plain stupid

The times he said that were when the defuser was down and him being alive was a deterrent for the enemy to defuse. Flank watch is also a reason not to go for kills, along with holding an important defensive position to waste attacker time e.g blue stairs on Bank, yellow stairs on Consulate, Oil pit/blue on Clubhouse and bakery on Kafé.

TickleMyPelvis Same with when you do your job as an operator. Did you destroy all the electronics as Thatcher, IQ or Twitch, or did you hard breach as Thermite, Hibana or Maverick? etc. Honestly just doing those little things could grant more kills immediately or even later on in the round. Even if not directly contributing to said kills, just doing that job could result (and often does) in helping your team win. For example, opening the hatches on Bank in open area can really deter a site retake later on in the round in fear that someone is above. Even in higher elo, open those hatches and even if you die, another teammate can watch from above and cover that plant just that bit better.

Usually I play Thunt disarm bomb. On Thunt disarm, many terrorists come at you while you protect the defuser. This trains you to keep your cool under heavy fire as well as aim training. Sometimes we have our highs and lows. But dont let the bad games affect your mood. It will only make you play worse. N good luck in your next game >;)

You on console or PC? Because if you’re on console it’s impossible to stay consistent in terms of aim, range of motion is just way too small on a joystick. Gunfights aside the best thing you can do to stay consistent is to be more conscious of your gameplay and play style. Notice you’re dying trying to solo push too often? Pick a buddy and push with them. Notice that attackers keep hunting you and killing you as a roamer? Make your goal to waste their time, and have plenty of rotates to fall back on. 90% of the time you lose in siege you could probably point to 10 things that you could’ve done better as a player, just take notes of things to improve on at all times 👍
