Man, this video was the most helpful of all the videos I watched about disassembling and replacing parts on this specific model of the Nitro 5. I got an M.2 SSD for my laptop, and wasn’t sure where to start. It was also crazy how much dust buildup there was in my fans and in the laptop in general. Between an air compressed duster and my vacuum with the hose and brush extension, I was able to get pretty much everything (I was especially careful with the vacuum, of course). Thanks again so much for this video!

Thank you! I've been suffering with intermittent loud fans for about a year now. Found enough pet hair to build a small rodent and dust for days! So aggravating but thanks to you it's back to normal! My model is slightly different in that there are a several tiny screws holding the cover on the fans instead of the tabs. Just made it a little easier to remove and replace. Great video with quality knowledge. Much appreciated!

10:13 that is the haul effect sensor, that detects when the lid of the laptop has been closed. they work using magnets that are presumably build into the lid of the laptop somewhere. you can try it by running a weak to medium strength magnet over the general area of that side of the computer, the display should turn off
