I just bought this laptop, Its fantastic and smooth. The trackpad is awesome, I absolutely love it. Also as a student, I am very pleased with it as it's performance is smooth, it is slim and very light weight and the best part of all is the price if this. I have to say Acer has really impressed me.

NIce review. It doesn't look like the battery is user replaceable as far as just plugging a new battery in the back. Would you know if it can be replaced easily without taking it in for service, etc. We have a chance to buy one if these used for $130. Thanks...Again very nice detailed review.....

If you're watching this video and weighing whether or not to get the $200 Chromebook or $250 for a budget laptop, spend the extra $50 and get this laptop. For general use computing this is a great product at a great price.

Hi. I may be getting this anytime this month or the next month, and I'm planning to use this for creating PowerPoint presentations to be presented at school, basic video editing using Windows Movie Maker, watching 1080p movies with my friends, and some light (games that do not need much processing power) gaming whenever I'm bored. also, how long does the laptop runs in battery since I take my laptop to coffee shops sometimes when I'm going to check my facebook and finishing off some documents/researches. Will it suit my needs or just go for something higher like a core i3-based laptop? Thanks!

Just got this laptop last week and I'd say, working good for me so far. Older games are working as expected (tho some requires to be in compatibility mode), and I can now render 720p videos in Movie Maker unlike on my oldie Core2 desktop that can only render videos at 480p, and PowerPoint does work fine too!. Also, I recently connected it to my TV via HDMI and surprisingly, despite of the full resolution on TV (1920x1080), the computer still works good as expected.

Dude, I have a question. Did you try to upgrade the RAM? How many slots does it have? By manual it's says 8GB. But with one or two slots? Can you install cpu-z to view the number of it? Thanks!

Could I play Counter STrike global offense on this because I need a cheap windows 8 I have the Acer aspire 500G windows 7 So yeah

I'm thinking on buying this laptop. Can I do music production on it if I get an external sound card? Will the CPU handle Cubase and all the VST instruments?

Aangelo Raphael Yes it can run them smoothly, but the 1080p videos won't really look any sharper than the 720p videos due to the resolution of the screen (1366x768).

I have a question for anybody who has this laptop ok so next month im buying this for my b-day & i spent at least almost 3 hours looking at reviews for this laptop both good & bad but i still wanna buy this cause it's the only thing i can afford. but aside from that out of all the reviews nobody has said anything about streaming (Twitch wise) cause that's one of the reasons im getting a new laptop especially this one right here. so can anybody tell me is this laptop good enough for Twitch & other streaming sites?...also is it powerful enough for OBS & Xsplit? i would greatly appreciate it thank you

This laptop is better then HP Stream 11 and 13.

i thought the acer e11 has no fan? this one has?

This one does have a fan, but the fan will only come on if you're maxing out the CPU. If you're just doing things like browsing the web and word processing, the fan will stay off.

If you want a hardcore gaming pc then yes go head and build one but if you are going to play simple games it does it fine

Mostly flash games like Club Penguin and stuff like that. I don't think it would be good for downloadable games.
