amzn.to/3BU3Zrx you can put as much RAM as you can fit. I rarely ever see a limit to the RAM other than what you can buy.

Hey i have acer aspire 3 A315-21 laptop and I'm planning on upgrading the RAM. I used crucials memory advisor tool to find the best ram for my pc. It gave a list of compatible ram. I'm confused whether to buy 2400mhz one or 3200mhz one. The inbuilt memory in my laptop is ddr4 and the task manager shows its speed as 800mhz. So what should i do

Not sure of Windows 11 compatibility. Any 2.5" sata SSD should be fine

Hi, I have this exact model and I'm having power problems. The charger cable works i've tested it, but there is no LED indication on the side to show its receiving power. I've been watching many videos about everything i can with this laptop, tried battery resets and all the easy stuff before doing a full tear down. In your video, there was a physical stick of ram in the slot (not the soldered one), which is different to mine, there is no removable stick already in there, just the empty slot and the soldered ram. Would this lack of physical ram explain the power problem?

Likely it's a damaged charge port or fried motherboard.

@@ItsBinhRepaired oh, i've just removed the case and unplugged the only cable that goes from the supply to the board, has two black cables and two red cables going into a white clip, how could i test this with a multimeter?

@@phivey.b check the charger for a model number. Sometimes leaving it unplugged from the wall for a few minutes will get it working again.

It shouldn't void warranty, but depends where you live and what manufacturers say.

Does it matter if the ram has ECC? i googled what RAM i need and some said Non-ECC RAM. sites like Crucial also gives Non-ECC RAM as recommendation. But the admin of an online store said it doesn't matter if it has or not. Like, if the motherboard doesn't support ECC, it'll just run without ECC. But when i tried the RAM from them, both of them causes constant bluescreen until i take the RAM off. oh, also does it matter if the RAM speed is mismatched? sorry I'm new at this. i can google, but I'm not sure which is true.

@@ItsBinhRepaired i tried with Kingston 8Gb 2400Mhz RAM. But it still blue screen. My laptop is Acer aspire 3 a315-21-948e. Oh, also on task manager my onboard RAM is running at 800Mhz :/ even though it's a 2400Mhz RAM

If there's an SSD hidden somewhere else inside it can, but if there isn't, then it must've been stolen.

Has there been a really noticeable difference in the speed before and after? This laptop running on HDD is actually terrible like it seriously takes at minimum one minute just to get to the password screen. If you still have the laptop, could you tell me how much this improves please? Spending £60 just for it to be not worth it would suck Oh also is it necessary to upgrade the RAM when changing to an SSD? I have no idea about these things

If it wasn't worth it, why would I do it and make a living doing it? Lol you'd want 8GB of RAM or more as well to make it run extra good. SSD upgrade is one of the cheapest upgrades with the most performance boost.

Did you clone the old hard drive or install the os to the SSD? It won't boot if the drive is blank.
