Those are acrylic TIR with a seperate glass lens at the front for protection

you know what!? youre actually right. i dont know why i didnt realize that, because my FW3A and Acebeam TK18 are the exact same set up. thanks for updating me on this :)

They make an 850nm IR version of the L19. I have yet to see any review of one on youtube or the internet in general. I just emailed acebeam today asking why they list it on their product page as a 3rd option, but don't mention any technical specifications of the IR version. I recieved a response from them saying these are the power outputs of the IR L19: 850nm Infrared Low, 400mW/sr, power 1.5W Mid, 800mW/sr, power 3W High, 2000mW/sr, power 7W They also say the flashlight is only currently available to preorder, but it is listed as available on an online store in my country currently. I'm hanging out to see how an IR emitter performs with the lens of the L19. It's a mint looking flashlight in both white and green!

Not gonna lie. An IR option would actually be really cool to have. A freaking 7w? Insane.

Can you please compare L17 vs L19 green??? Your vids / reviews are entertaining and interesting to watch! Stay safe.

hey thanks so much! :) funny you mention this because im working on getting a video of the L17 and L19 side by side as quick as possible. we had strong winds here the past few days and it would surely ruin the video so i have been patiently waiting for weather to get better. But I will definitely post it as soon as possible. thanks again for the kind words

@@04mach1speed I was thinking, if I went to some live feed of the international space station looking at earth, and timed it perfectly, do you think it would be possible to see the ace beam l19’s beam from the ISS’s POV?

@@steviewonder402 you know thats a really interesting question, the ISS is around 250 miles up. and a few years ago a bunch of people got together and tried hitting it with two carbon arc (I believe) spotlights and a 1W blue laser. you can find the video on youtube, they were huge spotlights. they ended up being successful in hitting it and the ISS saw it and showed off the pic. so truthfully i doubt it with just one L19, but you never know, if the air and atmosphere is clear they might just be able to see it if this all happens on the dark side of earth. I wont lie though, its pretty cool that you have this mentality because i always wonder the same. 250 miles is an incredible distance for artificial light to travel but you really never know :)

@@04mach1speed Idk why but flashlights are pretty dope, the first serious flashlight I ever ordered was a Streamlight TLR-2 HGL, (grn laser, light combo for pistols) and I was amazed how far that thing threw its beam, but I cannot wait to get the l19 in the mail, I ordered the white one! When 4th of July comes around, Cincinnati takes a barge full of fireworks on the Ohio river, and maybe I’ll shine my l19 into the air as a spotlight! Idk I’d like to be part of the show!

@@steviewonder402 lol!! thats so cool that 4th of july has so many cool things like that in Cincinnati! Oklahoma is boring during 4th even though we have cool firework shows. honestly, no. the TIR lens makes it to where their is no spill at all lol

Yeah most likely, Acebeams quality is absolutely incredible! Almost try looking at some Olights, do you prefer Floody or throw?

@@04mach1speed throw, also yeah I haven’t looked too far but I haven’t found anything that beats ace beam on throw and price.
