ACE 78 is the best thing done by any member or any version of KISS. Honerable mention to Living in Sin at the Holiday Inn 🤣🤣🤣 by Gene. Seriously though, that Ace album is the only one I listen to on a regular basis out of the entire Kiss discography.

@@DaP84 Everyone makes mistakes and that's ok. There's even people out there who like Peter's album the best so we all know how crazy KISS fans can be. With songs like Rip It Out, New York Groove, Ozone, Fractured Mirror there was never any question who had the best solo album or best album by KISS.

That’s fair, when Rockin with the boys came out, I thought it was pretty good, but I was hoping the album was going to better and it was. There are a few songs I like more than that song on Spaceman. I have a feeling this will be a similar story.

10,000 volts' is a decent tune. A stolen riff from "Sound Garden" But still a decent tune. In my opinion it's not as good as a single track from that 78 solo album, but I do like it. It's a little over produced for an Ace Frehley album but an over all good production. I wrote this comment before I watched this video. I'm glad to hear that you agree with me Ralph. Checkout the song "MY Wave" by "Sound Garden" Then go back and listen to the riff of 10,000 volts'. Ace adds a little riff to it, but it's the same riff in a different key. Great riff though. I liked several "Sound Garden" tunes. I miss Chis Cornel. He was a really nice guy with amazing vocals. I have zero doubt that he was murdered. As I'm sure that you'd have to agree. Better than anything KISS has put out in years imho. Paul and Gene can talk smack about Ace all day, but he at least has consistently made music and released albums. And made better music than most of what the current incarnation of KISS has put out.

The "best album" line is simply a goal setter. The artist and the label want to make it look great so that the people will buy it. Doesn't always work; look at The Elder and Sonic Booboo. I have to admit it though; Ace hasn't quit releasing new music. Even with the Origins albums, the songs are what we haven't heard from Ace before. Ace takes his time to put thing out, true, but it's at least partly because he wants it to sound the best he can. And it usually works. I just don't know why it has to be out in late February.

What! ......The song and the album cover total ace......been a fan since destroyer and if anything Ace is surpassing kiss sorry now PISS is totally out doing kiss in albums since the original farewell tour.ACE RULES.

I wish he would properly release the '78 demos. Some of those songs were superior to the finished album versions..

Paul & Gene continue to misrepresent Ace as some sort of incapable, unreliable prodigal son. In reality, since 2009, KISS has made 1 album WHILE ACE HAS MADE 5 ALBUMS. Ace puts out better content too. The current KISS lineup should be called PISS. I wonder if Fake Frehley was making more money in Black 'N Blue? lol

10000 Volts is a cool, rocking song!👍🤘 but not that good I hoped. On Spaceman, Spaceinvader, Trouble Walkin’ are much better tunes. Hopefully the Album has highlights….. Anyway: I like 10000 Volts and the song is better than 95% of the shit that Kiss gave us on Sonic Boom and Monster. Rock on an greetings from Germany 🇩🇪👍🤘

They always release the strongest song first. I don’t expect the rest of the album to be anything to cream your jeans over.

I agree, it's not as good as the seventy eight album but 10k Volts is killer. I do think this song makes an imbecile of Paul Thtanley of Kith, not that he needs any help being an imbecile.

I’ve loved Ace since I was 9 in 76,I think many times he’s the coolest member in kiss. I like his new song,I like the production,I like the riff,but something is missing from him ,I think it’s the cosmic /glam quality he had in his voice ,it’s like a dry drunk singing now & he repeats that same solo too over n over. But the song is not bad,the riff is catchy.

i agree, i hope the rest of the album pieces 10,000 volts together with it. Usually the opening track sets the tone for the album, so yeah i hope it has the next song kick you in the nuts with a opening drum fill or something cos 10,000 volts isn't super strong. Agree the album cover kind of sucks, compared to origins vol 2. album cover now that's a album cover.

The new single is awesome! What is up with folks and the "nothing is better than 1978" crap. It was an awesome first effort. I like it better than a lot of the albums he did with the band. It can certainly be topped. He just may have done it this time. Listen to Monster. Then listen to 10,000 Volts. Yup, PISS, who haven't done a decent album since 1992, do look like imbeciles. But then, they don't need Ace's help to look like imbeciles 😊 Ralph, there is an alternate "Lightningbolt" cover for the new Ace album that looks cool. I like it better. Check it out!

Eh 🤷 I think I'm over it. I will be seeing him tho in June. He's definitely not on top of what he's doing anymore live. I think his recordings sound better then his live performances anymore.

I feel like everytime Kiss or Ace is doing something (album, tour etc.) they bash each other just for the headline. Its been this way forever. I personal think they just do it on purpose

I like the song but it sounds like the same stuff he's been playing since Anomaly. I hope the rest of the album picks up but even if it doesn't, it doesn't need to be great to make Paul look like an imbecile.

It's better than the shit that come out last time. Compare this to Bronx Boy and you tell me which sounds better!

@@almosthuman56 To each their own I suppose. I thought Bronx Boy was cheesy with Ace trying to act tough. Song wasn't heavy enough to be tough. He will NEVER top the '78 album!! That's a record you can listen to start to finish!!! Three of my friends and I rolled a 6 sided die to see the order of buying the solo records amongst us. Thank god I rolled a six and had first pick. It was Ace all the way for me! The guy at #2 actually picked Peter's record and #4 got lucky to settle with Gene or Paul! Needless to say #2 was NOT happy with the LP he got and ended up giving it to me so I would NEVER have to use my money to get a copy!!! Poster and order form was still with it!

It's the lyrics, man. Tell me that if you were to just read the lyrics to any of those songs, you wouldn't think a 9 year-old wrote them.

I like the new Ace song. It’s got a good groove, great hook & a signature solo. If I had to pick one thing bad about it, it would be the solo is too short. Let’s also remember that Ace is 72 and he’s still writing new music so to compare him to his first album which he did when he was 27 isn’t really fair. So let’s applaud him for not resting on his past and still making music. As far as Gene & Paul are concerned, I don’t care. I stopped listening to those two twats spew their lies. Peter and s the only smart one. He keeps his mouth shut and doesn’t feed into the media machine that is KISS.

Its ok i guess. Credit where credit is due, at least hes recording and releasing new music which is braver than Kiss. At least he's trying to produce new work.

Nothing Pure Van Halen Is below Ace anything

Huge Ace fan, but this tune wasn't anything special, imo.

Definitely not the Paul Stanley mollywhoppin' we were promised. Good standard Ace song. I don't dig it and I can't see myself ever listening to it on purpose ever again. But if a person genuinely likes it, horray for them. I fail to see though, much difference between the obvious studio magic Ace used vs the obvious live sound trickery Paul uses so Ace's comments about that are again, a bit misguided.

LOVE Ace but this song for me, is nothing special and the solo is blatently familiar parts from previous solos put together into a solo. It sure as hell isn't anything close to his 1978 kick ass album. Hopefully, hes got better on the album.

I love all ace everyone knows that, but I beg him please , no slash no Lita Ford. No sebastains it lowers the cool factor. And let your girlfriend sit this one out. Please get back to being the coolest

It’s alright, ace’s vocals are once again nothing extravagant. Lyrics are ok, but there’s times where to me it feels like he’s trying to fit too many words. Solo was a little underwhelming. So far not a track that’ll make Paul look like an imbecile. He said something similar for the space invader album. I’ll always support ace’s albums when they come out, but god he really needs to keep certain comments to himself lol
