Ace is just done. I'm not even saying it to be mean, it's just the truth. His biggest fans have just never wanted to face the reality that he's a deeply troubled man and has been for a very long time. He's still playing live because he needs money (he recently admitted he owes the IRS " a couple of hundred grand"). If you read the book Gordon G. Gebert did about Ace many years ago he actually showed the financial documents in the book that proved Ace had to file for bankruptcy at one point. And he's probably (at the very least) addicted to prescription medication if not just flat out drinking and/or taking drugs of whatever kind. Heck I remember seeing a video of him several years ago at some Kiss convention where they played Love Gun, and Bruce Kulick was there and on stage playing as well, and Ace was just all over the place. It was embarrassing. Bruce was spot on as usual, but Ace was playing awfully, even then. At this point you're basically just paying to look at Ace Frehley as he mumbles his way through lyrics and plays guitar badly. I mean.. that really does basically sum it up. If you want to save money but still want to experience Ace in some way you should just go to his autograph signings that does at horror con events and things like that. He (again) clearly needs money, and at least you'd be able to maybe talk to him for a minute or 2 and you'd spend way less than you would driving to a show, paying for parking, the ticket itself, and drinks if you drink etc. Ace is a legend, but he's just finished guys. There's no 2 ways around this fact. But you could still possibly meet him (if you'll pay), it will help him some financially, and you'll probably have a much better experience than having to watch him get up there and do whatever you want to call these types of performances. I'm not being sarcastic either. Go meet Ace, he makes some much needed money, and you get to meet one of your childhood hero's. It really is the likely best scenario as far as supporting Ace goes at this point.

@@pewsterbabyI have maintained silence from the 2nd hour he posted the break, as he also expressed a wish for respect for them on the matter. They would appreciate the subject not getting aired out all over. The show must go on. And here he is. *** I kinda think (in the end) we each have people we decide to love. We hold the line for them. We care more about upholding the best in them than we do about remembering their worst moments. Cos we all fail. And we all try. And forgiveness is a choice. We choose who we will value and keep. And we don’t abandon them or stop appreciating them when they no longer are operating at their highest points. This is not to be confused with pity; it’s Respect. To never forget the contribution. Ace is a freaking Velveteen Rabbit. *** As someone who has been listening for God’s Heart on how to pray for this world and all of us in it… since about 1981… I find it tremendous to see Ace in 2024 drawing strength from God and taking a spiritual stand. We are living in very dividing times; but this is a great late hour to reach for a new or renewed connection with the Most High. Maybe we all signed up for the concert, but maybe Ace is releasing spiritual alignment with Life over death in these concerts. True Character is when you are alone and hard-pressed, and tempted to despair or reverting to the dark things you have known. But instead, you say, NO. By the grace of God, get behind me, s-t-n. He is living and walking Ephesians 6. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against powers snd rulers of darkness in high places. Gene and Ace did a double billing when they came to Australia a few years back. They were indeed in Gene's band; and for the record they were fantastic. Ace figured to use them as well as it's far more practical. Seeing as Gene was soon busy back on the road with Kiss, Ace decided to use them as his full time band. Very sad to see that Ace has fallen this far as the last 3 times that I saw him live, he was playing better than he had in years. Spent thousands of hours watching Kiss/Ace shows and I've never seen a show with this much talking in between songs, in the middle of songs, and furthermore his solo was just him playing famous licks he learned a long time ago. I LOVED all that. He's 73 freaking years old. Let Ace do whatever he wants. We're lucky he's even standing on a stage at this point.

I just went for a 2-hour swim to get myself a break. I skipped ahead to later on in the show where Ace is playing covers from Hendricks and Zeppelin... It certainly hasn't gotten any better. Once again I'm going to reiterate since I see so many negative comments.... And the ones I hate the most are that Gene and Paul were always right... Before you post something in your self-righteous indignation... Could you even play guitar that well now... Not much less when you're 73 years old. I don't think a lot of you will be able to even text that well. I completely sick of the whole entire KISS debacle. Everything that I read in everything that's posted it's just sitting all over the beautiful legacy and the great memories that I have from the 70s when I was a kid. The only thing that pisses me off more than the fact that four grown men can't come to grips in their relationship... Is the f****** p**** ass keyboard junkies that hide behind their anonymity I can say whatever they want without any repercussions. Back in my day you could always have an opinion but your opinion might get you punched in the face. Also back in my day if you wanted to make a message to anyone in the world you had to write a letter and then put it in an envelope and you had to put a stamp on it and you had to mail it. So I guess my comment at this point is not about Ace anymore it's about... I can't stand the society that I live in anymore because there's too many f****** people that have things too easy. Anyway I'm done posting comments that nobody else cares about... I realize that in posting a comment I'm just like the rest of you. Your opinion doesn't mean s***. My opinion am I posted mean s*** either. But maybe just maybe somebody might read what I posted and think twice... It's not likely but I did it because I was bored and didn't have anything else better to do
