Trying something different :D. having fun with the A.I script using LAAM. the drones are scripted, it's ridiculous sometimes XD funny guides down below~ do you even need one? XD This is the first mission I recorded in this Walkthrough.
Strategy:
Well.. In my case here, I tried to Make a surprise attack with LAAM but failed X'D. Turns out, you have to be at altitude 3500 when launching a surprise attack with LAAM in order for it to hit HUGIN almost every time.. I failed in this video.
Funny thing is, those drones are scripted to fly back to the Elevator after awhile during Mission. so, if you lure them far away from the elevator, they'll fly straight back to the elevator without evading missiles you shot. that's when you can hit or kill them with LAAM. using HPAA might be fun as well!
I think Everyone already know how to S rank this. kill all weapon UAVS or at least 2 of them. and finish the mission fast enough.
no NAMED ACE enemy here ;D just the ADFs and couple routers inside the tunnel.

A bit of a trivia/spoiler past 22 years: the tunnel chase and the combat within the space elevator are very reminiscent of the missions Tunnel Vision, Sole Survivor, Pursuit and Geofront Attack, all of which take place inside Geofront in Ace Combat 3 Electrosphere. A very beautiful homage, whether it was intended or not.
Flying an F-14 Tomcat with the Razgriz skin from the carrier named after the Kestrel's captain eh How ironic can it be, huh?

Then 200 years later the f14 became the main combat aircraft with advanced mechanized systems 😏
3 years late. But i'm amazed you almost save Wit from getting shot down in a F-14
Nicely done! I did this mission with the same aircraft and skin. Gotta do Harling proud for this occasion. The only difference was the build, since I opted for maximum speed to fire at long range while in afterburner.

If you quicksave retry many times in trying to get the space elevator does that compromise the S rank?

1:50 I don’t have “New High Energy Propellent (SP.W)” I also haven’t played this game in a year so I forget how to unlock stuff and I haven’t even unlocked ACE difficulty I’m trying to beat the game on hard and I’m stuck on the Grand Canyon mission
