3:23:08 - this is definitely one of the most memorable moments in gaming, in my opinion. the beautiful music, the beautiful sunrise, your wingmen saying thank you and reaffirming their belief in you. It gets me every time.

I know this is hella late but yea i just need to play 6 now. So im gonna probably buy a cheap 360 and get it. Probably the last great ace combat game for the older gens. Hopefully 7 will live up to its predecessors. Even the 3DS cross rumble was good for a handheld. The psp ones were also great. Should've made a Vita game or HD remake the ps2 games and psp games....i would buy them all for 120$ lol Ace combat is life except Asshualt Horizon...xD Even the Ftp game infinity was better than that crap.

I’ve held on to my ps2. I just found my memory card and loaded up Ac4 and Ac5. Everything was still on it from 10+ years ago

Ace Combat 5 was the only ps2 AC game I never touched, luckily the preorder for AC7 came with AC5 for PS4. I couldn’t believe how good the story was. Including the moment you highlighted, there are so many great story segments in this game. For me AC5 has the best story in the AC franchise.

I love it how the Captain elects from an F-4 Phantom, which is a two-seater. Did he have some special single seat version, or did his co-pilot go down with the jet? Still a great game, but something I noticed.

2016 and still best ace combat game,love the story,gameplay,and the character (Nagase top tier waifu)

AC5 has the best soundtrack in my opinion, the music played during the mission where you protect the naval ships defecting from the Yuke navy (about 3:02:02) is just amazing.

Not going to lie here, 3:23:00to around 3:24:48.....Great And Heartwarming Moment Right There....and the Camera View Work you used in game to look around at you're fellow wingmen as they spoke...especially EDGE with how you let the camera focus linger a bit on her plane as she got back into formation with you....really does help add a bit of personal emotion to this story and makes that in game moment EVEN BETTER :D....OH AND THE CUSTOM MOBIUS 1 118th Fighter Squadron AC04 Livery on the F-22 As Well :D noticed that too....Great Work on the Entire Video. :)

Nagase’s callsign and nickname was Edge, Alvin H. Davenport insisted on his callsign being Chopper saying he refused to reply to anything else. BLAZE is the player character’s callsign, but, inherited (was given) his original captain’s (Bartlett) old nickname of “Kid” cause you reminded him of himself when he was younger.

The DFM and regenerating health were what officially killed the game for me. taking control away from the player when every single previous game gave you complete control. The regenerating health was an incredibly stupid thing to include. in every previous game, you needed to think about what you were doing. you needed to pay attention. hitting the ground killed you instantly, it didn't just bounce you straight back into the sky. it made winning feel all the greater when you get through it without the help. all of the assists that they force on you throughout the game made it really boring and killed any adrenaline from the actual flying you were allowed to do. The absolutely horrific and completely predictable and horrifically padded story and simulated difficulty didn't help.

Wonderful storytelling to make Chopper fairly annoying early on. Yet by the time we reach his end, he has grown so much and dies the most noble death. Still... Puddle of Mudd? Seriously?? Might as well have been Alien Ant Farm or something.

can't believe I watched that. one of the best ace combat games with the most original storyline.

Jesus, this game, Ace Combat 4 and Ace Combat Zero deserves a remaster for the PC and console ports. I was kind of wondering about AC7 if they were to remaster Skies of Deception from the PSP and add that to AC7 as a DLC.

I played this game a thousands times but it never gets old

Of all the AC games 5 is the best. So many emotions expressed in the game. I'll be man enough that watching this now 19 years later, I shed a tear at the battle where everyone joined together. There were so many bosses in this game too that made it heart stopping. Zero is a close 2nd with the Ace Valley fights...

I played this game and ac4 when I was super young so like 5 or 6 so I would never make it too far only to like the 10th mission. 10 years later, with the same ps2 and controller, I finally beat both games and I remember why I missed them so much

So happy this popped up in my feed... What a nice trip down memory lane

The story is awesome but the soundtrack just makes the game even more better.

nice movie, really miss playing this game =spoiler alert= my one comment would be on the last scene when Kestrel is about to sunk. You should put the briefing scene because it was one of the best plot twist in game (other then Chopper's death of course. but no one would expect an attack on mission briefing right?)

this is the best of ace combat series

So glad to see I wasn’t the only one who thought using the F-22 against the SOLG was the best choice. Great trip down memory lane.

Chopper's death still hits pretty hard...

For me this is the best Ace Combat. Followed by Zero.

Its still absolutely mind-boggling how no one knows about this amazing game/series. Like its so good!!

Oddly enough, that's the same formation I flew for 27+ (unless that's the Osean F-22 and not the Mobius 1 version)

Chopper should have fucking bailed out man, still one of the most heartbreaking moments in gaming history

Amazing piloting dude. I even learned a thing or two about making it look cinematic. I have to say though lol. One thing that bugged me is I never noticed you using yaw in your flying. I guess it looks cooler doing Mobius loops with the camera locked on the current target. Anyway, I'm inspired man. I gotta get a PS2 again and all the Ace Combats again. 4 is still my favorite, what about you?

MrWillyP, doesn't look that great though. Besides the planes, the textures on everything else look like crap when upscaled and the prerendered cutscenes are stuck at 480p. The HUD in particular scales badly.

i love AC7 but AC5 is better in my opinion. screw realism Sci-fi plane, wpn, sadness :'(, plot twist, etc, Squadron control, atk,dsp,sp wpn,cover. Very rich storyline as good as AC-Z SCREW multi player. Single player with ACE difficulty where u have to dodge and perform Crazy Maneuver 99% all dmg of the time :D can choose ur wingman plane, OH yeah i love that mechanic i can finally give my beloved Nagase a FALKEN. man missed that kind of mech.
