The handhelds were pretty good too

I use inverted controls for camera movement in every game I play. I accredit that to the flight controls from my early days playing Ace Combat. This series is the cause of all of my friend's pain having to switch the setting back and forth as we trade off. Great video series. Currently getting blown up in 7, so now I'm here.

The camera lock trick is really neat, thanks for that.

I just got back into Ace Combat this 2021, thanks for the briefing! Hahaha My last Ace Combat game was 5. Yes, it just had one Special Weapon choice. :'( Story is gooooooood though

After only playing Ace Combat 2 and the similar-ish Air combat back in the old PS this did help quite a lot. Cheers mate ;)

I watched this because I got tired of every dogfight being a contest of who stops doing backflips first

AC3 missiles are aiming for the aircraft, not the exhaust... They are most likely IR and Radar guided... Thus making them more advanced than in "previous" Ace Combat... Plus you can shoot them in advance of enemy movement assisting their interception probability...

So basically from what I am seeing. Unless you have good flying skills expect to lose a lot of planes when starting.

huh. is the cold launch/hot launch thing in 7 as well? I also realized sometimes the words "fire" show up, is it the same as the "shoot" lock bonus in 6?

Good question, the [SHOOT] mechanic (meaning interception) is not in the latest one, and the FIRE in older titles just meant you're in Good Position to make a "kill"

how good do I have to get to start playing multiplayer and have fun? is beating the game on ace difficulty enough?

Jhon Rodriguez He means because of the Physics in this particular game the jets have Weight/inertia (Ace Combat07 doesn’t have any) so you have to think about How your flying around and Not just using Afterburners all the time Or you might Crash

How many times in ace combat 5 did I had to finish the desert misssion with only my gun cause I wasted all my missiles XD

Kinda rEalistic huh... jk Have to rely on wingman Without replenish Line

In AC5 final mission, wasted all my missiles for the drons, nothing left for the actual target. Completed the mission using gun, my best experience on all Ace Combat series.

Nah this is way harder. Game gives me motion sickness and I'm having trouble completing it in the easiest difficulty where you can literally crash into water and bounce right back up

34:09 yeah Ace03 Ace04 AceX Ace06 kinda, All have the BETTER turning "flight Model" then the Rest ! And it's So Stupid how the makers Designed the latter to make it seem like that Flight model is still Good Obviously it's Not as the planes move like a Freaking RC toy 👎

I wish they would Stop messing around with the way the Planes Fly, or at least give us the Option to change Flight Dynamics In Game ! Also Ace 07 is Alright but Still Severely Lacking Content and Features, the Visuals are superb as always(afterburners still look Cartoonish compared to Ace 06) But the Actual Gameplay Graphics Suck
