One of the most unique bags ever played

Phish is my favorite band and Ive been to 70+ shows but 14:12-14:57 of this AC/DC Bag is my favorite piece of phish music ive ever listened too I wish I could of attended this show my lord!

Definitely seems like Trey was on a Psycho Killer tease there for a bit, a la the Dayton show from earlier in the month. Listen to the way Psycho Killer comes out of the Dayton Bag and Treys guitar phrasing is identical.

One of the best shows I ever saw, and that is out of very many. They were in TOTAL CONTROL heading into 1998. And speaking of 1998... tell me a time that they have been chomping at the bit to get on stage since the impromptu Island Tour in spring of 1998?

I saw all three garden shows and both nassau....your analysis is spot on...an amazing stretch of music

Glad I saw them from 93-99 which was their peak imo

I had a chance to go to this NYC run and didn't because my girlfriend at the time asked me to do Christmas and New Years with her family on our college break. One of my biggest regrets. We split up shortly after anyway and I missed one of Phish's best runs. I didn't let anything like that happen again though, and wound up seeing more shows in 98 than any other year including the Worcester run, which was unbelievable. I even met the Dude of Life that weekend.

In my brain I did. But I think that all the time. This is my fav Bag of all time. And not because this was about my view. Right behind the soundboard. Was a perfect 4 nights. And yes anytime a Harpua is broken out history is bound to be made. That Izabella. McGrupp. The first Sneakin Sally since 87 if my mind serves me right. They didn’t stop at midnight and said we get 2 New Years shows. But 95 was also historic. A few weeks ago for 12/31/23 was historic. Yes we knew. Everyone I was with was longtime phans and all were mind blown.

Well my dad was able to see this show, but on the nosebleed seats back on Pages side, But he still said that the entire show was legendary.

Dude. You're not alone. They're still obviously and more polished, with more organized jams but in 94-99. They were something beyond special

​@@penguinfriendguin1182 I'm heading to Mondegreen but the band today is completely different than 1.0 / 2.0 and honestly even some parts of very early 3.0. They have always evolved, but there really isn't much sustained energy anymore.

I sure did that night, I wouldn't shut up about it, ask any of my friends! Having been at the Nutter Butter show a few weeks earlier, it seemed almost inevitable that they were going to play another Psycho Killer. There are other Psycho Killer teases on this NYE run. Listen for them, there are a few of them! Surprised that it didn't surface again until Hartford 2009! (that one was a mess, but would have been cool to see...
