Tremendous amount of respect for this man!

I've read some of Bryan books, the videos are just as good. Since reading and watching videos my long range shooting has improved immensely.

As a former Police Countersniper, I developed a desire to better understand ballistics. As you well know, my working range was precision at 75 to 100yds and just toyed with the 300yd mark a bit. Now that I am retired I shoot for fun and find there is always plenty of room for my knowledge base to grow. It is refreshing to see your professional approach, far too many "tackelberrys" out here that just want to hear themselves talk. thank you sir, I look forward to more...

This Young Man can teach us 0l' Dog's something New and a Lot of it too. I was a "Law Enforcement Officer" myself and did some sniping to for them here in my small town mostly on Drug Dealing Backup. Like you Timothy Smith it was close range shooting mostly. I just found this channel yesterday and I'm trying to catchup on them.

"I think I got it but just in case tell me the whole thing over again, I wasn't listening"! A great line from my daughter's movie The Lego Movie. LOL Impressive! Not only the knowledge of longrange shooting but the ability to concentrate & deliver all this w/ bullets impacting close by! Makes my head spin but I'll keep trying to process it! Will LIKE & SUBSCRIBE!

Hello, Althought I am not as avid a shooter, I do enjoy it and would definately like to learn more about Accuracy and Precision. I have attempted to do it on my own but will admit that a little help by a professional such as yourself will amount to 'steel on target' all the time I squeeze the trigger. Is there a video on your teachings and how can I get my hands on it. Thanks for what you do! Gonzo...

Something else I've noticed is that my accuracy, (point of impact), can change depending on my shooting position. i.e. resting the rifle on a branch versus shooting prone with a bipod, etc.

all im good for is 100 yards never could understand how people make long shots like that and moving the turrests on scope before firing

Talking about "science" there just means "I tell the truth, buy my books, DVDs, applications...". Only beginners will believe that.

You may or may not know that running Applied Ballistics on iPhone has given an erroneous result for quite some time now (or, if you believe AB, the Android has given an erroneous result). Either way, if you input the exact same data on Android vs iOS, you get two different firing solutions. Before this last "update", it was worse, but it's still erroneous. AB has been doing some rather, well, interesting things to try and "true things up", in this last update. What they have really done is dumb down the app in iOS. Primarily, they have disabled the "segmented" or "banded" BCs. Essentially they "defeatured" the app, so it wouldn't be "as wrong" as it had been. But it's still wrong. Again, AB says they sold the inaccurate app to android users, but my research suggests it's the other way around. Either way, someone is getting the short end of the stick. When I ran a VERY standard scenario in both apps (I can provide all of the data if you'd like to run it yourself, but the basics are 155Gr Scenar, 3mph 1 o'clock wind, 70 degrees, 50% humidity), you end up with a .6 MOA difference at 1250 when you're not able to allow for multiple BCs. And that's with a Scenar that has a relatively consistent BC over the various velocities. I called and spoke at length with Doc Beech. He said that they are doing away with the segmented BCs because they are introducing "custom drag models" (Litz has a pretty good track record with getting the base data right, but the preliminary data on the CDMs that some of the folks I shoot with (one of whom is a former 1 mile world record holder) is not positive). I'll reserve judgment until more folks can test it. But the dishonorable thing in all of this, is that they're going to force you to purchase the CDMs as an "in-app" purchase. In other words, they're dumbing down the program now to force you to spend money on the "more accurate" (which is so far unproven) information. I spent over an hour on the phone with Doc Beech over the last two days, and the official party line is, "The programs aren't inaccurate now [even though they produce different results, I guess "inaccuracy" is retaive], and we had to defeature (my word) the program so that we could implement CDMs (he also said in a moment of honesty, that the program was "flipping" the segmented BCs for no good reason). And we should all be happy that they're improving. If you’re only shooting to 300 yards/meters, this probably won’t matter to you. However, if you’re going out past those ranges, this will matter to you very, very much.

perhaps one phone is reading barometric pressure, the other one not. the difference in density altitude makes 1 MOA for every 10 degrees.
