I'm 58 years of age. And just decided this year to take on Accounting. I've found this subject to be very difficult, confusing and overwhelmingly stressful until I began to know enough about accrual acctng for the concepts to begin to register more easily. So, young people out there, keep trying, Gradually matters. If it helps anyone out there, then, today was my first day knowing, I mean really knowing that "interest" is what made the difference between accts recvbl/payable and notes recvbl/payable. That happened thanks mainly to this teacher. We appreciate you for taking care to explain these concepts.

Such a help this was. Couldn't have asked for a better explanation of the concepts. Thank you so much.

Professor you have to put the date you recevable from Larry. First. U have to debit account. Recevable, then you debit accunt payable for 5,000 he promised you the three month which is the note payable, and interest payable because of the three month payments. This is the way I will work with my accounts.I know the bank aware of our transantion. Nice one sir. Let me go and pray now.
