    Accounting major senior here! I agree with you on cost Accounting. That isn't for me. I really love auditing. I also got accepted for grad school as well. I'm very excited but nervous. I find it interesting that you have data mining and Accounting information systems. At my university, it's not a requirement. It's nice to see other Accounting majors. Accounting is very underrated and even my school, it's like 30-40 of us graduating with Accounting degrees.

    @@natalieminassian Hey, I chose the three sciences (bio, physics and chem) in 10th grade and figured out that science was not for me, but I studied it for a year since I could not change it in the middle of the year. I am thinking of changing my subjects to business and accounting in 11th but I have to give my board exams in 11th too and I really don't want to go into medical, do you think it would be the right choice to change my subjects or just go on with science. I have summer holidays now so I could study for business and accounting so that I knew something about it but I have no prior knowledge for these both subjects and to think I have to give boards in 11th with limited knowledge is scary and I am conflicted on what to do.

    I enjoyed financial accounting, I'm just hoping the other classes are set up differently. We use Mcgraw Hill at my school (though I'll be transferring to a university and they may use different) and the amount of busy work was nutty. Mostly just the connect questions there would be like 70-100+ multiple choice (mostly non-math) but still incredibly time consuming and didn't feel helpful at all. What do you do in a situation like that? I felt like all my study time was being eaten away by busy work. Didn't learn almost anything from that section and it took half my homework time ugh.

  • @natalieminassian

    @natalieminassian

    6 ай бұрын

    I completely know what you are talking about. McGraw Hill was used a lot during my undergrad classes. It was not the best at teaching but it was easy homework points. You have to learn to manage your time on what’s important. Maybe coordinate certain amount to each chapter. Example. 30 minutes chp 1. or if chapter 3 is really hard for you, do 1 hour or study. Just gotta try different ways!

  • @watchuwant1560

    @watchuwant1560

    6 ай бұрын

    Do you mean just skip portions of homework or just guess answers? Not sure how I could have done it any faster unless I was cool with really poor grades as the only multiple choice were the first section (70+ concepts) and if you got them wrong they would insert a rephrased version of the question up to like 3 times. Then 10 questions usually 1-10 parts each for practice homework and 5-10 questions for the regular homework section up to 20 parts per question. Thank you!@@natalieminassian

Quick question on reading the textbook, do you read from A to B, the entire chapter or is there a certain skim you do cuz I feel like some chapters are so long and I just give up and go straight to the PPT and just watch the lecture and take notes from the lecture.
