Purchasing AMS89K at such a low price feels like a steal. Holding onto it for the long term seems like a smart move

I have lived in the house for 15 yrs. It was a short sale and on the market for a while. I had to put 25,000 into it to make it livable

I bought a house in 2010 and paid $85,000. Now it is worth approximately $400,00. How can I avoid paying Cap gains tax if I can sell it for that price

Back corner where I bought the house in 2010 the market was saturated with foreclosures short sales and that sort of stuff so it was a really good time for buyers and I grabbed this house. It was a steel now I’m ready to sell it. it’s almost 3000 ft.² and it’s too much for me to take care of.

I would like to know, if estimated taxes are received by them, ends up being late through the mail(but sent on time), do they add interest & penalties on it?

I put all my eggs in the 529 basket for my 1 year old kid. I did so because I thought I couldn’t contribute to the ESA due to my income and because I thought “why would anyone contribute 2000 a year when they could do 5x or more in a 529?” I still can’t contribute to the ESA due to income, but thanks to Mark and Mat, I learned my child could, or grandparents, etc. I’ve also learned I can self direct the ESA and potentially get far better returns than the 529.
