Best 120 v6 Honda video by far. Kept it in d3 all the way to 125. Finally someone who knows how to get the most out of a j30 accord.

it's a 4 speed automatic, who the fuck cares? The performance is going to be trash one way or another. Also, you do understand that the transmission decides when to shift on it's own, right?

damn. didnt realize 3rd gear on the v6 was so tall. i dont even know if my 99 4 cyl accord is even close to that ratio

For the mysterious, invisible commentator whose name shall not be mentioned who asks: "Oh how do you watch in 2x speed?" What you must do is click on the settings button on the bottom right of the video. On the far right is the full screen button, one space to the left is the theater mode, and the next button on the left is the settings button. It looks like a gear and you might have a red "HD" sitting on it. Click it and hover the mouse over "Speed" and click to reveal numerous yet still limited speed settings. Then click "2x" and you're done! Do the same process to change it back, or experiment with other speed settings. 3 EDITS: Firstly, I somehow failed to see the replies on my comment, explaining the strange and even more mysterious introduction to my response. Second, I don't mean to be condescending, I personally like to have thorough and complete instructions on how to do stuff (especially on electronic tech). Lastly, and irrelevantly, I was sure that "commentator" was not a word, but it turns out that it is!

Love that VTEC Scream

Tbh this car surprised me. I have one myself. It's A 1998 EX V6 with the Automatic 4 speed Transmission, completely stock. And I got It all the way up to 137 mph once and could have gone faster but there was an undercover cop ahead that I saw just In time and I had to slow down.

this is an accord with odyssey gauges. vtec engages at 3500. the odyssey's vtec engages at 4000

What do you mean by an accord with odyssey gauges? I have a 2000 honda accord 100% stock from the factory and the vtec engages at 4000, from what I can see on the dash. So did honda swap gauges from the factory because i never swapped any odyssey parts in my accord...

@@thweepz I just checked and my accord gauges go to 150. It's like 140 then another dash where as the video here only goes to 140. So my car does have factory gauges, but what about the part where you said vtec engages at 3500 not 4000? I can't really tell but it feels like it engages at 4000.. is it 3.5 or 4k?

@itzzericv2 i know what but what particular year? it looks like 1998-2000 because the gauges a lil a bit different then the 2001-02. idk but its still in the same generation

Joe Schnoor odyssey gauges have a different font then the accord gauges, the ones in this video are odyssey gauges

I'm pretty sure it's an Accord with an Odyssey cluster, the Odyssey has a J35 which engages VTEC at 4k RPM, while the Accord has a J30 and engages VTEC at 3.5k RPM. The one in the video cracks at 3.5k

This is an Odyssey, 1999-2004 model. You can verify it by looking at the gauges; below the fuel gauge is an indicator showing which door is open. It is the van outline, not the sedan outline like in Accords. Why would you call this an Accord video?

I’ve gotten my 04 odyssey to 100 no problem

There’s something wrong with this Accord. No Accord V6 is ever slower than 6.5 seconds to 60 unless you go back to the 1990’s Sounds nice, but I’m pretty sure the modifications are hindering acceleration times

it is really easy to swap over gauge clusters.

The accord has a governor that kicks in at around 110-120, this is an Odyssey

I don't have a v6 accord :P
