#AD Sunday saw us add a 17th Community Shield to our trophy cabinet as we beat Manchester City in stunning circumstances, and you can take a behind-the-scenes look at everything that happened on the day in Access All Areas!
Our cameras tracked Mikel Arteta and our players from the moment they first entered Wembley Stadium for the big game as they took their pre-match preparations, and got some unique camera angles of some of the big moments during the 90 minutes, as well as our penalty shootout success.
They then got in the thick of the on-pitch celebrations as our squad shared the glorious moment with the tens of thousands of Gooners that decked out half of the national stadium in a sea of red, and watched on as they passed the famous trophy around as they soaked up their success.

Meh, it’s mostly due to social media - we see more behind the scenes and interaction than ever before in history. I imagine if social media was a thing during the Invincible’s era, we probably would’ve felt that way about them too. Social media gives us this screen of ‘accessibility’ to players, so we feel more included and connected than we actually are. This is not anywhere close to the best Arsenal team, it’s just that we never got to know any of the previous teams in this way.

Trossard reminds me a lot of Alexis Sanchez.. he has the skills, passion & hungry to win.. his decision making at that last second was very crucial.. if he choose to cross for the last chance, its maybe 50 50 chances for us to score.. but he choose to shoot !! and that's was the key moment.. he is the game changer 💪💪

@@a.n-v2337 Arshavin was a rare personality, just as his game style. Could score a worldie, a brace dominating the game, or disappear as if he wasn't even on the pitch. Trossard is more consistent. Plus the fact that he can play in all the attacking positions. He has been a bless, thank god we dodged Mudryk bullet to sign him.

You're right about the mentality. People thing you have to win competitions to have the mentality. I don't think so. Just watched when we go behind or need a goal how desperate the boys are to win the game!
This team needed this... I know its not a major trophy... But Wembley ... The supporters passion ... Against city .. trailing... Hope this is just a taste of the chaos this team can do to the league

It’s not winning the Community shield that is significant, but winning it against City that is huge for the belief, confidence and mentality of the team. To achieve our goals this season (winning the league) we have to get 3-4 points against City this season.

Something incredibly sweet at 12.11 when Odergaard takes the shield from Rice and he drags an initially reluctant Rice by the hand to face the crowd, who give Rice a big cheer. It's like Odergaard saying, take a bow to your fans new guy, you've earned your Gooner status now.
