Pro Football Focus considers Virginia Tech and SMU of the ACC to be two of the four most underrated college football teams for the 2024 season. People are starting to take notice of the Hokies, who return a higher percentage of their production than any other team in the ACC. Virginia Tech and SMU both have relatively easy strengths of schedules. Can Kyron Drones lead the Hokies to double digit wins? Can SMU, in their first season in a power conference, turn heads? Seems like VT WR corps is being undervalued. Ali Jennings was the most hyped WR on the roster last season and went down in game 2. Fully loaded this fall.
SMU defense in 2023 was top 15 in the nation, not "middle of the road in the AAC."

Both schedules are the easiest in the ACC... VT is #1/2 in Returning Starters, but i see them ranked as #96 in actual Returning Production... who did they lose?? SMU is T12 in Returning Starters and #17 in Returning Production.. but the list their bowl game to BC!!

Undersized DL = weak against the Run so VT will be bad against a power Running team. Bigger OL’s will push them around.

@@ronaldj926 preach… people don’t understand is VT has always been undersized on D, but had the speed and athleticism. Pry knows Defense, and a major thing nobody wants mention when talking about the DL….Pry’s recruits were stat leader studs, while Fuentes (coach FU fool) recruits struggled.

Research money is 100 times greater than football money. University presidents will prioritize research. That's why the Big10 is a big deal - research money, not sports. That said, once you have the research moving in the right direction, sports is important because it tends to drive alumni donations.
Your degrees have had a greater impact on your lives than sports.
The President of this great university should focus on academics. That's what we go to school for.

Presidents can be involved with sports and still focus heavily on academics.
When espn contract review come up, acc need to ask for more money and tier 2 rites back to sell to prime or apple tv to make more money. Acc need to play sec and big10 and beat them. Winning in college football is money. Fs been hunting for a woy out the acc for about 5 years with no luck The only way out is 500 million. Acc should grab 4 more western school like Kansas, Utah, Arizona and Oklahoma State or unlv. All new teams home games should be sold to prime or other networks.
