What a game, and what an effort from the team to come back from a deficit in the fourth quarter! This was reminiscent of the 2018 team-extremely short roster due to injuries, but everyone stepped up and filled their role. Nat gave HUGE minutes, and although she did not have a big game offensively, her effort and rotations in our zone defense were crucial. Anna and KK also brought some great energy. I hope that with the time off before the tournament starts, we can find ways to get Anna and KK more involved in the offense (Anna with more catch-and-shoot action, both with more cutting action). Regardless, what an accomplishment from this squad after a bad loss at home to NCST earlier in the season. An incredible 3 days resulting in Niele’s first tournament championship (conference or NCAA). Sending well wishes to Kylee for a speedy recovery. This team would not be where they are without her. Her emotions after the win made me emotional as well. What a run. Go Irish! ☘️

Definitely an amazing trio for those players. Beyond that, .. HIdalgo is clearly the #1 ACC "new comer" of the year. Beyond that, Hidalgo is likely a second-team All American, and a close #2 in the National defensive player of the year balloting. She is also a lock on the "All Rookie Team" this season. Amazing player, amazing results.

I'm glad I didn't hear any Olivia Questions because she will be back next year and she will be the starting PG and Hannah will play the Hybrid position this team is going to be insane next year.

@@M-10VisualDistributions Have you seen Olivia Miles play? She's the point guard and if Notre Dame has to set up in the half court she will be the point guard. The overall philosophy will be who ever gets the ball off of a missed shot can push it in transition because next year they will really look to play uptempo with both on floor.

@@coachhumph5524 Did Notre Dame have the success they are enjoying this year with Hidalgo at the point with Miles at the point? Just start there. Can Miles pressure opposing teams defensively at the point like Hidalgo? Can she push the pace like Hidalgo? Okay, and you are certain she will be the same or a better player after a serious knee injury? You clearly see what impact Hidalgo has made on this team at this point and Coach Ivey will say...oh I think it's best to let Miles be the PG and everybody adjust again to her style at the point. .....OK.

@@M-10VisualDistributions Your problem is that you don't know where to start so don't tell me where to start. i have forgotten more about coaching basketball than you will ever learn. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if you are just a bandwagon fan. Miles was 6th in the country in assists last year as a true sophomore and she led the team in rebounding from the point guard position. You show your lack of basketball IQ by presuming that whoever the point guard is on offense somehow pigeon holes that player to guard the other teams point guard (I'm not going to waste much more time with you in that area) I knew about Hannah Hidalgo before you probably knew she existed. I know you didn't watch her play in the world championships but I watched every single game so I know just how great Hannah is. With a roster that was very similar to this year's roster Notre Dame Miles led Notre Dame to a 24-4 record before her injury. Just because you are ignorant about Miles' health and ability doesn't mean no one else knows. Miles is already back playing on the scout team in practice and everyone is raving about her including Hannah. There is more to the game of basketball than what is at the end of your nose. The difference between you and me is that you are a fan whereas I actually know what I'm talking about. Go back and read my first post in this thread and you will be reminded of what you can expect to see next year.

I hate the "credit to God" line that we hear so often. The team won. They won because of their work, effort, and sweat. The idea that "God" ordained it is ludicrous. Credit the players. God doesn't give a sh*t who wins.

Ivey and HH [didn't say the win was ordained but] both thanked their god and they also credited the players. Not my thing but I respect the fact that people have different beliefs. Your god doesn't give a sh*t who wins but sounds like Notre Dame's god does.🙂

@@SeshatPG82 Yeah ... I just don't buy the notion that anyone's "God" determines the outcome of athletic match ups. It just doesn't make any sense. Good for ND's women's basketball for winning the ACC title. If anyone asserts that "God" intervened somehow to impact the outcome ... I disagree.
