Okay, My name is Nivedan and I'm 22years old, just graduated from clg. I too had Acanthosis nigricans(AN) since lock down. I've increased nearly 17Kgs in lockdown and was in a very bad shape. My cholesterol level too was high and i found black patches on my forehead, armpits and neck region. I initially thought is was hyperpigmentation, but later after an appointment with dermatology I came to know that it was AN. Basically I'm a biotech student and so I read many articles related to AN. After 3 months of research and hardwork i published my review paper on AN. Those 3 months I took myself as an example for the experiment. So how did I manage to get rid of AN: 1. Workout, it increases your metabolism and produces more testosterone and builds muscle. Workout in the sense not in gym, basic home exercise. Exercise i followed were pushups, pull ups, squat, jumping jacks, walking, alternative toe touching and ab crunchs. 2. Reduce carbohydrates intake by 50%, it's hard as an Indian to follow yet I made a diet for myself and did which consists of most protein and good fat, fibre. The diet was black coffee with lemon for early morning drink. 3 boiled eggs and a cup of green tea for breakfast. 1 full cucumber and 2 rotis and chicken(dry without oil) for lunch. Evening snack- 1 full carrot and 2 pomegranate and sprout salad. For dinner 40g oats with 30g whey protein, flaxseed and 6 almonds. 4. Apply retinol-a cream on dark patches every night before sleep and wash it every morning. I did this for 10weeks . I had many cheat meals, yet I reduced 19kgs(depends upon ur body fat %) Now I've no dark patches. More than my previous look I'm very fit with the same weight. My muscles are tonned, and the best part was my research paper was published ❤️ if you have any query related to AN feel free to DM me on instagram. My ID is : bowling_pistol Goodluck people, anyone can get rid of AN it's quite easy! Only thing is you gotta control your mouth and change ur mindset and lifestyle. Kudos🤞🏻

I developed this around 2 years ago when I was 14, and always wondered why. It was in a covered place, though, so I didn't worry about it. Turns out it was T2! Yaaaaaay No but seriously, since I had no symptoms it would be great if I had seen this just 3 months before I was diagnosed (I didn't fully have it b4 the last few months I was diagnosed) and went to a doctor. Thanks for the video, my guy. You are probably helping so many people.

everytime i lift my elbow to my shoulder it looks normal, but when i let it go it looks darker than my arm. I think this is from too much exposure from the sun and that's why it got dark or too much tan cause your skin gets tan since melanin protects you from the sun and so they need more so they produce more but you get tanner or darker skinned. that's why i really don't like to go out. Just never scrub it. It will get red and worse

I'm getting rid of the dark skin by doing the strictest version of the keto diet, aka the lions diet or carnivore diet. I eat fatty cuts of meat and water only. Even eating plants and dairy prevents the highest health improvements. Since I'm no longer eating sugar, I'm healing my insulin resistance and this dark patch disease is almost gone. I also lost 23 pounds in 4 months and my digestive issues went away.

For everyone here, if you have tried everything and it still persist then try this. Use aqurea HF gel. Put it on area affected. Now you must let it dry like, really dry. It will form flaky outside layer when its dry. Then the flaky cream will act like a scrub. Scrub your skin to remove the skin layer. Repeat the process untill the pigmentation is gone. Remember you must let it dry or it wont work.

guys tell me if this works, i will try it, i had this since idk, i didn't pay attention when i was little, i just now noticed it, i'm 12yrs right now, i feel insecure because it's embarrasing since it looks like i'm the only kid at school with this, that's why i wear undershirts with long sleeves to hide it, i only have it on my elbows and on my knees and on my neck, but my neck is the least affected, i think it's from the sun, that's why i don't really want to go out in the sun, so i always wear a hoodie and something to cover it. I just want it to get rid of it now, i mean my elbows are the only ones that are really affected they are like darker than my arm skin and my face and my neck, my knees not really, my neck not really either, i just want my elbow to be a normal elbow. pls help.

When I was 12 I was also really confused why I was the only kid that had it too. I don't know if this works for you but all I did to remove dark patches was use cotton buds and rubbing alcohol. I'd use the cotton buds for my neck but when it came to areas like my knees or ankles, I'd use the flannel with water and scrub really hard and now I'm completely free of it. I hope this helps

I did some research for you here are the tips that can possibly make it go away Go talk to your doctor about it most likely they will prescribe you with a cream what you put on daily that can make your akin lighten back up Also your doctor can help you treat the root cause ---------- Now this is usually caused by higher insulin levels so you want to lower them To do that follow these steps Follow a Low-Carb Diet. ... Take Apple Cider Vinegar. ... Watch Portion Sizes. ... Avoid All Forms of Sugar. ... Exercise Regularly. ... Add Cinnamon to Foods and Beverages. ... Stay Away From Refined Carbs. ... Avoid Sedentary Behaviour 1 thing to take note of is dont expect this to work over night getting rid of the dark skin it can take either take months up to a year to do Hopefully this helps for you I’m going through this to and I’m talking to my doctor about it

Ugh! Bruh im only 12! And im not too heavy and i dont look fat at all, well maybe a little bit but what should my next steps be?
