Academy Flakpanzer IV Wirbelwind
Ойын-сауық
Full build of Academy Flakpanzer IV Wirbelwind 1:35 (13236). The video provide in depth hints and tips which I think will be proved useful to people who want to build this kit.
This is the second video which include painting and weathering of the vehicle and figures. First time free hand three tone camouflage.
I hope you like it. Enjoy!!!

Thank you! Cheers!
Another excellent creation my friend. Your skills on painting/weathering the 1/35 scale figures is quite good. I've been at this for 55+ years now and I don't believe there's a thing I can think of as far as advice because you're right up there with my skills of 5+ decades. At 67 I still enjoy this hobby with the 1/35 military model kits being my specialty. You do just as fine work as myself and others who've been at this as long as 5+ decades. It appears you've become the student instructing the teachers from what I see here. Unbelievable skills and you've been at this how long if I may ask? I see you have a great love for tanks as I myself enjoy the tanks more than any other aspect of military modeling. A great tank kit I believe you would appreciate and love to build is a kit by Academy. It's a M-51 Super Sherman Israeli Medium Tank. They made 2 versions of the kit, older kit #1373 & the new kit #13254 which are the same tank kit with the newer kit having better tooling than the original kit #1373. I have both kits and have built the older kit already and hopefully I will find time to start the newer kit soon. If memory serves me correctly both kits come with PE parts included? CORRECTION! After going back into my model stock room and checking out the 2 kits, it appears I bought the PE parts rather than them being included in the kit as I thought? You see, when you have the huge stock pile of model kits like I do with buying faster than I build them, it's easy to get confused as to what kit came with this or that, lol.

What can I say? I am absolutely humbled from your nice words which have different weight due to your huge expierience (call Guinness records 55 years!). I have started this hobby two and a half years ago with a hobby knife, one tweezer and a spray can. I had a blast and after that came the downhill 😀. I try my best to improve my skills but regardless what you say I have tons of stuff to learn. Tanks are my biggest love but I really enjoy any other types of plastic modelling. I already have a mixed 40 kit stash. I will keep in mind the aforementioned model (never build a Sherman). Stay tuned for more model builds and thanks again. Keep modelling and have the same enthusiasm as you have now.

@@GeorgeModellingforBeginners George my friend, as long as I've been doing this I still learn new skills & tips almost daily, when I get online. With this wonderful world wide web and so many folks into modeling today, it's almost impossible not to pick up a tip or a cool trick, etc. The day I stop learning in this hobby we love so much, that's the day I will put up my hobby knife for good.👍
nicely done

This is true art, hope I one day become as good as you. I just started thought, and you have done this in 3 years right? Maybe in 3 years I will be this good.

Thank you! You will get there do not worry. I know that it looks like a long way but try to constantly improve yourself. Do not try too many techniques in one model as they may overwhelm you. I recommend one or two on each build (which will not be perfect on the first try) but you will get better along the way. Most importantly try having fun.

Thanks! Indeed initial they did. But I noticed it is due to long distance spraying. It seems that some of the paint dries before attached to the plastic. I hope it helps.
Great job, impressive painting. But why the figures are in winter suits and the armour has no winter camo on? Thanks for sharing

In the instructions, it was stated that the uniforms were double-faced, with the three tone camo on the one side and the winter camo on the other. This is justify my laziness :) hence I went for the easy winter camo for the three figures. Also I was afraid to do camo with a brush but it turned out good (see commander).

@@ThatMofoDamon no it's not unfortunately. Try to find some references on the internet but weird enough I never came across a Wirbelwind with a white camo (either kit or real). Good luck with yours :)
