Just like all the other comments here what I appreciate most are the imperfect brushed on invasion stripes. Too few people are doing this, everyone goes for masking tape or decals. Makes the model look like a museum restoration that is weathered for some reason. You got it right

Some Invasion strips were applied with brooms in the field the night before D day... I'm doing a Airfix LCM landing craft as my D-day tribute and will post vid soon 👍

Many of the D-Day invasion stripes were hastily applied by hand on many of the aircraft. Your rendition looks good. I appreciate the in depth look at the supercharger as well.

They definitely where messy on a lot of planes! I wanted to take a bit of a look at it since it’s basically the reason the P-47 looks like it does. Thanks for watching 😁👍🏻

WOW!!! My favorite project of yours to date!! Like that you didn't add anything under the wings, gives your P-47 a just returned from a mission look. Invasion stripes are awesome! Too many times modelers apply them with geometric precision. Wasn't always the case. Your weathering is extremely realistic as well. Nice showing of the supercharger and footage of P-47's. Very well done! Going to use your Tamiya panel line wash techniques on my next project. Take care, see you later!

Thanks a lot! Yeah I did think about putting the tanks and bombs on but got a bit lazy, so your right, maybe he just got back from Normandy😂 Yeah I’m happy with how the stripes and the weathering turned out, the stripes where a first as well as the mismatching panel lines(which I might make a bit stronger next time). I couldn’t resist having a talk about the Supercharger, it’s the reason the P-47 is such a big plane and I wanted to talk about how I decided to go about adding exhaust stains. Yeah panel liner is real good stuff, especially if you paint with acrylics, then you can wipe it off or soften it with enamel thinners and it won’t do anything to the paint job.😁 Thanks for watching mate and see you on the next one👍🏻😁
