666demonknight666 I Had a brand new, completely stock Sti back in 2010 that got a defect notice. Apparently the cop deemed a factory top mount as an illegal modification and i had to go through all the bullshit of paying for an inspection to remove the notice. How the fuck do you explain that?

in japan cars a much more unsafe than ours, for instance street drift cars - being eligible to drive on the roads. where as their cars are way lower and way more louder, bumpers are mostly held on by zip ties etc... residential areas in japan are peaceful and every civilian keeps to their own. they don't blame other motoring enthusiast about the noise pollution. There has not been any serious cases where a 'stanced' or 'race -drift' car has injured or hurt somebody or yet alone the owner of the vehicle or the passengers they'll carrying. Australia's car law is fucked up, thank God we have a Motoring Enthusiast Party in the government. With them its a step to owners right and what we love doing and in which in values our sense of happiness.

Lowering the car is exactly the type of mod he's talking about. With exhausts, i would have to agree, but in some cases (if done wrong) can add on more power...which the coppers tend not to like.

Depends on the "Performance" mods they have. They could of only had engine "Performance" mods installed, making the car more powerful but not more controllable. Only some people have Suspension and Brake mods, which are the ones that make the car safer. Sadly in the real world most people only want to go faster, they dont think, if im going twice as fast, i need to stop in the same distance, or go around the corner without spinning out/rolling.

yeah it's quite sad to see isn't it? I've done up the tyres and suspension (moving onto brakes) for my modifications. all legal because it does keep me from crashing. I mean, tyres are the best bang for buck in performance u will get, same as suspension, sometimes brakes. And it's the better type of performance.

Supervised area that has medical staff on hand just in case. In the USA you can drive drag cars, in a legal fashion, down the highway without being hassled by every police officer on the job but get done here for having slightly to dark window tint? Less strict vehicle modification laws need to come into place.
