That said, and subscriving that Diego is out of contest in the mortal race for the best ever, the only other player i witnessed, so strong that he could change the destiny of ANY match ALONE, was the 2003 - 2007 Kaka'. Tell me whatever, Messi and others had a way longer prime, but THAT Kaka' was the only one who could sit for a while at Diego's table. He was a thing of beauty, as Keats would have said.

Nesta and Maldini were two giant walls of AC Milan.

Kaká was a different breed, an idol. Glad to have him be from Brazil and from my team São Paulo

Kaka was just ridiculous that year Milan as a team was actually a little past their prime, i think they were stronger in 2005. The midfield was the same but 2 years younger and they had Sheva and Crespo...in 2007 they really relied on Kaka alot. They won this CL with experience and desire for revenge vs Liverpool more than anything

That is something to think about. The group of players was already 2-3 years past their prime, but Kaka was such a monster in HIS prime that he himself made up for the rest of the team and more.

I cried the day kaka left for madrid my favourite player of all time he was just sublime his pace was top notch running behind what a great talent he was,disheartening to see him not flourish at madrid!!!

In quella stagione ho visto a San Siro quella contro il Celtic con gol al 93 di kakà e quella contro lo United vinta 3a0. Quell'anno Kakà era imprendibile, quando partiva non c'è n'era per nessuno. Inoltre Seedorf Pirlo Maldini Nesta ecc ecc che squadra incredibile, anche Gilardino ha fatto il suo, mi dispiace solo per R9 il fenomeno che arrivato a Milano a gennaio, non poteva giocare in Europa, anche se era in fase calante della sua carriera, ma rimeneva sempre Ronaldo, ed alzare la coppa dalle grandi orecchie sarebbe stato il coronamento di una splendida carriera, martoriata da gravi infortuni. I was gutted when Sheva left. He was my favorite player and i cried so hard when he missed his pk in the shootout against Liverpool. Kaka was amazing too and once he left the club has just never been the same, makes me sad to this day. Ac Milan was a club of giants and now it just seems like an afterthought for young players to start off their careers and leave for bigger clubs similar to Ajax

Posso fare un appunto? Nel 2007 non eravate per niente la squadra più forte del mondo, lo United, il Chelsea, squadre più forti, ma non è il punto. Quello che voglio dire è che dite sempre voi milanisti "che squadra quella del 2007", ma per me è una squadra forte ma non eccezionale, mentre quella del 2005 che non vinse la Champions era qualcosa di clamoroso, molto più forte rispetto a quella del 2007

That Milan side was the most successful since the late 80's and early 90's Milan side led by the three Dutch stars - Van Basten, Gullit and Rijkaard. Kaka was awesome in the 2006/2007 season

Seedorf and KAKA magnificent duo midfielders. We all know how inzaghi magic in the finals, i miss this Milan. Hope we will be on top again ❤
