For anyone who hates axl rose in ac/dc remember he did not steal the spot light he stood back and did not upstage the band or go after fans. And he also had to learn all these songs and rehearse I have mad respect for axl rose more now then ever.

Imagine listening to a band as a kid. Having them influence you and subsequently your career. And then one day getting to join them and perform some of your favourite songs with your heroes. Whilst helping them finish a tour that would otherwise have been scrapped! It's dream come true stuff here. Axl always covered their stuff live and he does it very well here. It's one of his better performances tbh.

he does do the band & the fans justice but doing his own bands’ work might seriously piss off the AC/DC purists in making them a cover band if for just 2 songs . Throughout Black Sabbaths’ set at Reading Festival in 1983 I stood next to a huge silent greaser until Toni began playing the famous riff beginning Smoke on the Water . He turned to me & growled “ Sabbath doing Smoke on the bloody water ? Fuck this “ & with that the grumpy sod turned & walked back through the crowd. Ian Gillan later revealed he didn’t know half the words to Sabbaths’ catalogue whereas Axl Rose fortunately loves this band. 😁👍

Wow, I saw the GNR 2016 show front row. And AXL was very reserved with his highs and gravely voice. He saved it for welcome to the jungle intro and live or let die mid section. But here with AC/DC it’s on 24/7 like he was in his prime. Wish he did this with his own band these days. But also he’s playing with people he’s fans of here as a stand in…so I guess he feels the need to blow them away as well. He should bring this energy to GNR shows way more! Not to mention he seem to know the lyrics and not look at the teleprompters much here or sit in one place ever really. GNR AXL is way more reserved than AC/DC.
