Is it possible to replace just the AC clutch on these compressors? im having lot of trouble finding parts or repair videos for a jeep compass. I've done this procedure in a Cooper mini and a Nissian Quest with no prob. Seems funny to not be able to do it with these.
I have a 2010 Dodge Journey. I fallowed the instructions you gave me On a video you did on the same type of car the code was P0441 don't know the name of the part but it says emissions evaporation control incorrect purge flow. My point is the Engine light came back on and is giving me the same symptoms and code any suggestions?? Please thanks!!

What about a loud clicking noise coming from what I assume is the compressor or belt? It only comes on or makes that sound if my A/C is on. The sound is from under the hood.

Did you figure it out? My car was doing that exact thing. A couple of days ago the noise stopped and the a/c stopped blowing cold air. I was told that either it needs re Charging, could be a coolant leak, or compressor needs replacing. I’m taking it in tomorrow to find out exactly what it is.

@@Truly_Key It is probably something coming apart inside the compressor. If so it needs to be replaced. Hope you found the cause.

Mine was making a loud clanking and then AC stopped as well. Just checked and the Ac Clutch cover is blown off the side of the pulley. The metal casing just sheared off - Trying to figure out if I can replace just the clutch.
What refrigerant does it take? R-134a or R-1234yf?
