You represented the cycle of abuse amazingly, dazai took his frustrations out on akutagawa and akutagawa took his frustrations out on kyouka

WHILE HE WAS ATTACKING HIM, QUESTIONING WHY DID HE SAVE HIM (in which my theory is that Akutagawa realized or stopped being indenial that he will never get Dazai's approval so as a last resort he saved Atsushi, to which on how Akutagawa understands that Atsushi is a precious new subordinate to Dazai, and as a last resort for his approval he saved Atsushi with his life as way to see if he'll congratulate him for saving Atsushi)

Ikr, like chuuya is lowkey better, but dazai's actions made sense cause first when he tried to kill himself because of how tired he was with himself at the age of 13 but ended up stuck with a abusive pedophile, he saw someone dying at the age of 13 which is obviously scaring, his only parental figure died because M*ri's too much of a sucks up, and he's too afraid to show his love for the most important (alive💀💀) person in his life, Chuuya because he thinks he'll die because of being too close to him. Over all, i don't think he's a bad character just overall complex.
