it would be nice to see her dance instead of stuck in the corps. Much prefer the Russian way of promoting the new ones as well as supporting the older ones

As much as I love performances, I am more drawn to watching the practices/training more. Thank for you sharing! I adore this content!!

She should be with the Mariinsky and compete with Khoreva

They are similar in some ways yet different dancers although a comparison crossed my mind because I believe that Maria and Elisabeth will become the brightest star ballerinas of the future. In addition to impressive technique, they both radiate charm. Maria is a wonderful dancer who is poised to become the star of the Mariinsky, which has a riches of gifted young ballerinas. Without entering any competitions, Maria's career is in an accelerated projected path and she is already a first soloist (I thought that Vishneva's criticism of her fourth position at the recent Grand Ballet television competition was picking at straws). Clearly, she has a lot of support from the Mariinsky. Recently, Soo-bin Lee, who competed in in Moscow, was deservingly promoted to second soloist at Boston. There are other recent examples of great young talent being recognized and supported by their companies. l hope ABT stands behind Elisabeth. I would buy tickets to all her performances.

In the end for the mature and the truly gifted it’s not about competing with Coerver it’s about being all that you can be achieving the destiny. I want ballet watchers to mature and to stop giving vent to petty jealousy‘s in competition. I too was wanting her to go to the Mariinsky because they have superior training and I believe they trained her fully but she would achieve glorious results. In the end it is not a technique that makes an artist but the marriage of the technique with musicality and the divine ability to move the soul. I believe that she could have all three.

it's less that than the fact that Mariinsky is promoting both Mashas- Khoreva and Illushikina (my fave) and poor Elisabeth is still doing corps work. A bit of corps is fine, but it's time for some Bluebirds and Peasant Pas at the VERY least. Nothing so nice as watching a young ballerina take on a role for the first time than seeing her grow into it. She's ready. ABT flunked on Sarah Lane, and I fear they are going to flunk on Elisabeth.

when? they sure are dragging their feet. I wish she'd follow her former Ellison classmate Viola Bella over to Royal- she's getting a lot of nice, build-her-up chances and is a real standout @@Fandomonium456
