Hi There I have two questions -- first one is - why do you paint water first in certain places - does it make the ink do different things where it's wet? Also - how do you mount the Chinese paper to the canvas? I would love to try this -- it looks fun!

hi, water and chinese ink on chinese paper do traces which can see after drying ink, glue on canvas with any water based glue, best is rice glue

I love this style. Do you have to prepare the canvas before applying water and chinese ink ?

its ink painting on chinese xuan paper, mounted on canvas, and I use water strokes before panting ink, makes invisible light shadows under ink painting i need there

Yes sure, water ink painting, abstract expressionism, my style, coming from chinese chan buddhism philosophy, introspection, deep, not me, not mind, not heart , you have to become the brush, the ink, the paper. That's all, nothing else

check out Bill Buchman Brushes on Amazon. He has his own brand of very large brushes. Reasonable prices.

Abstract art is other scheme creation, you never know what it will.be seen on , you have to have clear mind heart then start to paint
