My theory (probably a conspiracy one) is that most of G1 will be just released in Studio Series, with the excpetion of chacters who straight up didn't appear in the movie.

Honestly I disagree, stuff like Gears or Octane could use Legacy figures It's not about the show, it's about the character. Anti-geewunners are just as salty as geewunners.

Bumblebee really excites me not just because of the fact that were getting toys of Animated characters but also the fact that this brings up the possibility of a Wasp redeco since he missed his chance at a toy back when Animated got cancelled in 2010. I mean if they're gonna do a freaking MOTORMASTER from Animated Optimus, they better well do a Wasp from Bumblebee.

No, G1 should always be in Legacy & the future lines, but there must be a balance between G1 characters & non-G1 characters. I'd be happy if we only get, like 4 G1 characters in United, thats the max. A max of 4. & the ENTIRE rest of United is all Non-G1 characters! So far, United already has a good balance, the only G1 characters in United that we know of atm are Gears, Sandstorm, & technically BW, BWII & Neo. The rest of United so far are non-G1 characters, & I love that.

Okay, so I know most people don't care, but since my main show of focus is Rescue Bots you have the net launchers on chase on the wrong sides which means that The Colours on the siren are supposed to be the opposites, so Red Launcher on the blue part of the siren side, and Vice Versa.

I mean if we wanna get technical Beast Wars is in the same continuity as G1

So glad the Hasbro G1 shaboinboing is over. Especially since we basically lost the movie line for more g1 related movie designs. I think guys like optimus should probably always have a g1 style toy in rotation but no I did not need to have a toy for every rando that showed up for 5 min in an ep before something from armada the line that basically saved transformers at the time

@Cashmoneez apparently if you were to say that on twitter or Reddit there a bunch of 40 year olds who would come at you and say hasbro is a business and they will do what makes them money or that the 86 is technically a movie they will either one of these things . I have seen worse many of them are like let bayverse die just sucks man . And not to mention did you see what hasbro did to bulkhead and arcee ? They literally made them g1 style

Chase works perfect for me, I think it's just that the windshield has a specific slot that it goes into under the hood to make it work. I really want to get Windblade soon, I think besides Tigerhawk, she's the only one of the wave one United I don't have as of today

I like one thing about the lack of G1 which is that I don’t have to see that every figure I want is already sold out before it releases.

Nice to see some respect on Magneous. He's definitely going to shelfwarm but i picked him up on a whim and he's just fantastic! Feel like I'm getting my money's worth of the moulding details alone!

Definitely nice to see more varieties of media being represented instead of the majority G1/G1 adjacent lineups of the past. I know the leaks say there will be a big chunk of G1 later anyway and they'll be weirder and less represented choices. (QUAKE GANG BABY) so it will still feel fresh. I think theyre moving in the right direction...mainline wise at least. Studio series is doomed lol

Legacy Chase and Bumblebee look cool, and I hope they get retooled into a Barricade and Wasp. Super excited for Windblade too.

@@Stringer7390it’s possible. For all we know, this could be the new Siege Sideswipe or Earthrise Cliffjumper mold, where it’s constantly being reused as new characters. I’ve seen suggestions from Prime Cliffjumper, to Lockdown. Since the lightbar is permanently attached to the car, and would need to be retooled off, I think Barricade would be an obvious eventual pick.

It's quite refreshing, the lack of G1 in this wave. Sure Wave 2 is going to have Gears and Sandstorm (RIP Sureshot), So that should keep everyone happy.

0:25 god hearing the Rescue Bots theme song again is amazing, that show is underrated I say is one of the best kid shows that I have ever seen, I will forever cherished in my memory when watching the promos in Discovery Kids, and trying to buy all the little articulated chibi figures, it was such a fun time in my life, I really hope Hasbro makes more Rescue Bots toys

Really love bumblebee's posability. Knees are super deep and by using the ab crunch you can bring his knees all the way up to his chest. And the head being able to look straight up. Really feels like they made sure he could move like he does in the cartoon.

fun fact: windblades backpack is on a c-clip, so you can take it off to look even better like earthrise prime.

I'm legit SUPER excited for what Legacy will do with the Animated Decepticon designs. I ALWAYS wanted to see Starscream and Megatron done in a more traditional way. (We already kind of got Blitzwing and Lugnut, but I would gladly take new versions)

I love G1 as much as the next man, but I am ready for G1ified/redesigned versions of other universe/continuity characters to take focus... with exception to JG1, give me more of that. My most wanted figure is Animated Megatron following Optimus. God I cannot wait.

The rescue bots song hit me more than I thought it would Watched all 4 seasons of that show multiple times over with my little brothers and it never got old

Moving on from G1 in a bigger way was bound to happen at some point. Tons of the G1 characters have gotten fairly ideal toy versions at this point, and any new ones aren’t likely to improve upon existing versions in a big way. I’m happy about that since it means less stuff for me to track down. I have nothing against the later iterations…I wish I had space for all of them. But I have to draw the line somewhere due to a lack of space. I like that TFA Bee and RB Chase…would love to get them, honestly.

I'm surprised Legacy hasn't tried making Bayverse characters into G1 style. I'd LOVE to see Blackout, Barricade, Bonecrusher from bayverse done in g1 styles. I don't mean g1 toys of characters that share the name. I mean for example the helicopter blackout made into that cartoony style

The shoulders on chase are some of the most egregious joints i have ever had to deal with. They really bring the figure down.

Exited for chase (maybe more exited for the remolds they'll do for this one). Animated bumblebee is very nice to see. Wish windblade looked better the hollow wings facing front and those megaman wide boot ankles make me sad and a go-bot rocklord is bizzare looking thought it was some movie bot. I really wish they did re-releases of some of the older G1 toys like runamuck and runabout or even those who you could previously only get in sets like earthmode mirrage or the last sideswipe one that got packed with the eagle Thanks for the video! Love how you go in dept with the articulation and build. My ocd wouldve drove me crazy if i didint knew bumblebee's thigh falls off that easy on all of them 😂

I know the new year just started but I recently got Legacy Chase and he is definitely going to be one of my favourite figures of the year already!

I don’t think more or less g1 is inherently positive or negative, it’s about what you want If you want g1 it might be a negative to not have any, if you don’t like g1 it might be a positive

G1 is great, but embracing and showcasing beyond G1 has made this era of transformers the best we've ever gotten

Really loving seeing characters outside of g1 being represented. And some somewhat new(repurposed rocklord) characters. I really hope we get more original characters here soon but the ones were getting are great!

I returned to collecting at the end of 22 and barely experienced Legacy releases until Evolution. I say with full honesty that Legacy United Wave 1, with just 2 core class (Dont got Tasmania Kid) and the deluxes, this is my favorite wave ever in Transformers history I got Magneous for my Bday (23rd last month) and it makes me sad he probably won't get good reception cus he is awesome

Was a little on the fence about Magneous, but this review convinced me to go get him. All of these Deluxes look great, and I now plan to try and get most of them whenever I can. The only exception would be Chase, since I don't have any attachment to Rescue Bots, but I do agree that it'd be cool to see him retooled as a Barricade. Also, never noticed this first wave had no explicitly G1 characters, lel. Granted, some decidedly G1 stylings are there, but that's Generations for you - and besides, I like how it's applied just enough to make all these different designs fit together

I don’t have a least favorite deluxe in this wave, but I do have a *favorite* I would rank it 3-windblade 2-Animated Bee 1- Rescue Bots Chase I don’t have rock because I don’t want rock. I’ve been having the most fun with Chase out of the deluxes in this wave.

I got into transformers last year, and i'm a big fan of all the g1 toys, but i definitely understand the general distaste of all the g1 oversaturation

I'm so happy they are making rescue bots, that show was my introduction into transformers, I hope they make the rest of the team, definitely picking chase up

I remember my lil bro watching rescue bots as a kid so seeing rescue bots being put into the main line is actually kinda cool. Kinda like when they started doing armada figures

I ordered a Windblade a few days ago, but I'm also gunnin' for both of the Animated releases and Chase. This wave looks freaking fantastic.

I remember my parents got me deluxe Animated Bee when I was like 5 or 6 and never learned how to transform it, I always asked one of my brothers to transform it for me. I’m definitely getting the Legacy one.

I genuinely love there's so little off the table now that they can do now that they've deviated from being so fixed on pure G1. Beast Era was a good start and now it's about time the other 25 years of Transformers got some proper love too. The fact Legacy has so much variety as a line fans can theorize about potential releases like RID Optimus Prime, more TFA and RB characters and even a fucking Big Convoy figure is the best outcome for me because they all have a proper chance of being made real.

Legacy didn't do any favors by G1-fying the Prime characters (which led to most people outright hating the show) Glad they aren't doing the same here. (With Animated, Rescue Bots, BW and Cyberverse looking pretty darn good)

Could see a really nice Nautica coming from that Windblade, hope so as the hard to find TR version doesn't really hit the spot

G1 got quite a bit of attention throughout Siege and Earthrise so seeing a refresh on some of these designs outside the continuity is really cool to see. Solid wave though I'm most excited for the Wingblade as she looks worth the $35 Canadian and I can finally get a proper replacement for the Thrilling 30 one. Bumblebee I'm hoping to see a discount and Chase I'll wait for the inevitable Prime Cliffjumper release. A Legacy Barricade would also be fun to see. Magneous is a cool idea but personally I'm not much in need of any Rock Lord homages right now.

Chase is the only one of these I have and I bought him almost entirely on name, rather than what id usually do where id buy it for the actual toy. However, ive been needing both a chase and rescue bots to have proper generations engineering since growing up with the show at around age 4 (age I was when it came out in I think 2012) as not only would I always see the bots doing things such as basic poses and be disapointed that the toys couldnt do any of it, being one-step changers or odd little goober statues, but chase was the only one of the main four I never got the toy of. I really hope Hasbro makes heatwave boulder and blades because they can be sure that I will buy them on the spot no matter what pricepoint they sell them at (but hopefully deluxe because I'm broke). Also, while he does have the goober shoulders and the stupid hecking unnecessary inaccurate kibble wings, my big problem is actually that the knees are way too high up, preventing him from kneeling down and interacting with smaller life forms such as oh I dont know, the hecking humans he was supposed to learn from in the show!? Also the transformation iant that bad once you get used to it and the car mode is not only very clearly a mustang even down to the taillights, (which are often the first thing Hasbro changes to avoid angry car companies), but its also mostly accurate to the show model (minus some proportional differences as well as some hood and side deco), which was also a mustang and very close to the original toy that was also clearly a mustang. And while the shoulders are wrong, I cant blame them for being unable to replicate the show desighn and at least they referenced it with a little bit of tooling. Honestly I'm really hoping toyhax makes a labels set for chase, where they add the white to his shoulders, fix the insignia to be the rescue bots logo, and add some real world police decos like they did with er prowl.

I have 3 out of four (Bumblebee, Windblade, and Chase) of these and I love them!

I found magneous today at my local target and I almost snapped the arm off because of the instructions but he is so fun to play with

For magneous i fold in the legs first so folding in the arms is easier

yay, solely cuz i can save some money for eventual ss86 swoop and g1 sandstorm, in addition i could also recollect some g1 figures i missed from prime wars like octane. cuz i dont collect non g1 character unless they look like they can be in g1 in design or is in interesting character ( ala lockdown)

Windblade is great and I am getting her but I hope Toyhax makes decals which iplmprove the lack of paint in the jet mode

Imo Chase's weird wrist has to do with the different colored plastic. Probably somewhere during development the designers thought that it would be easier or more economic to make a separate piece than paint the fists and the hinge might've been the easiest way to attach it to the arm (I don't know much about molding costs etc but that's what sounds more logical to me)

I love all of these and I really want to find Magneous now, but I have issue with my own copy of Windblade. The nosecone section is a little fiddly and stiff, it keeps wanting to pop out of the back entirely instead of neatly unfold like yours did in the video. Idk what's up with that. Finally got her transformed tho, love me a chunky jet

I did in fact pick up Magneous and he is so fun to mess around with and he kinda reminds me of like a nemisis prime with the weird chest area in the front but overall it's a great figure.

I've got my fingers crossed for an animated Shockwave.

We finally got a good Windblade (at least to me) also like the lack of g1, 20ish years ago transformers came back with the unicron trilogy in the US anyway and it created a great many transformers fans (me included) and for the 40th we get the awesome Tidal Wave as our titan

defo gonna get Chase and Windblade at some stage, I hope they make more rescue bots. the Animated Optimus could be an easy retool for Rescuebot heatwave.

ENOUGH G1 FOR WHILE. Like we went from desperately needing it, to OVER saturation. Hasbro needs to learn to balance these things. But I already know, all we’re gonna hear from a majority of the fanbase is ‘uGh NeEd MoRe GeEwUn!’

a few things i wanna say: 1. you hade windblades back-side fin thingies folded down and not out the whole time. 2. some advice for chase; when transforming him to his car mode, after you fit one arm into the car, you then wrap the back panel around the arm, then you do the other arm. id start with the figures right arm as you have the figure facing away from you as you do it. 3. when was the last time we had a proper mainline bumblebee figure that wasn't a movie figure or an exclusive? titans return? jeez...

I'd jump on the Windblade rn were it not for the fact a Slipstream listing was leaked and i'm pretty sure it will be made from Windblade. She looks so good.

I have the others just not magneous so I can't speak on him but out of the three my rankings are 1- Chase 2- Bee 3- Windblade Chase is my favorite and is absolute in the top 10 of my collection. he's so much fun to transform and looks awesome and it makes me really want the rest of the team, even went back and watched Rescue Bot season 1 because of it and honestly the show still holds up. it's free here on youtube(except a full season 2 for some reason). also, doesn't feel like it makes a difference but the instructions told me to turn his head around before transforming. idk why, and i just noticed you skipped it. It was just a odd detail i wanted to point out. I haven't watched Animated in forever, but I love this bee design, and his transformation is just fun. All though the clear plastic boosters are not something I am a fan of. I might end up painting them. Also the wheel gods have blessed me, as the transformation lines up perfectly, the wheels are pinned and he has great clearance so he rolls like an absolute dream Windblade is my least favorite as she does leave a bit to be desired. Im getting a little tired of hasbro and their tendency to give figures only one sword, and hers isn't even a good one. It's a decny jet, and he robot mode is great, the transformation do some cool things, but that damn sword is just off. it's too big, as it feels they focused on having a blast effect more than a sword, and not even a good effect. also, it's not really important, but it bothered me for the rest of the video as it was never addressed/quietly rectified and i have seen no one in the comments mention It but you didn't fold up the back wing things in jet mode. and also i didn't know she had landing gear.

Glad that other transformers series are getting the spotlight but there are still g1 characters , I would still like to see get an update or receive their first figures like Autobot X literally the one character that fits the whole parts forming gimmick of the weaponizers since he literally a Frankenstein of mixe Autobot parts .

I mean we’ve gotten recent updates of most G1 characters, Legacy or otherwise, so I’m never upset about “no G1” waves. Besides, I loved Transformers Animated, and Cyberverse Warrior Windblade was OK, but could definitely use a non-gimmick update. Since I’m cool with Animated and Prime, I’ll also accept a decently-executed Rescue Bots character. Rock Lords is fine, too, I mean we’ve barely scratched the surface on Gobots. OK, everybody stop fighting, or I’m going to complain about Micronauts representation! LOL

I'm fine with G1 just being in the SS86 line for now. I would like to see more of other series figures first.

really don't get why people keep asking chase to be retooled into a barricade, he's already a white and blue police car so the "retool" into barricade would just be a headswap lol. like i know hasbro is lazy but that's not even a redeco/repaint, it would essentiallty be just the same figure also the car parts placement like 90% match the cyberverse lockdown design (hood chest, taillights feet, door arms) it's bewildering that prime cliff is the one people keep jumping to just bcs of the exhausts 😅

I like g1. But it's nice to get a break. Now all we need is a PRIME UNIVERSE SOUNDWAVE GODDAMMIT

I think it’s really cool that they’re making proper figures of the rescue bots crew

In a toyline that was all about other universes colliding and coming right off the heels of the War For Cybertron trilogy.....the amount of G1 was unnecessary imo. It was overbearing and honestly sad that most of Wave 1 of Legacy was just G1/G2, Beast Wars, and G1 versions of other franchise characters. Same disheartening to see it happen to Studio Series but that's another thing. I'm glad Legacy has expanded out past G1 in subsequent waves. Granted, now we got Studio Series with too much G1 in it.

I desperately want Chase and Windblade, I love Magneous (and didn't expect to) and bee.... is so conflicting for me. I also got my hands on Thundertron, and I love the idea and the execution's is, pretty good.

I'm all for non g1. I think the other generations beast wars, prime, animated, and so on need more representation. I really want more beast wars from fuzors to transmetal and transmetal 2. Also I really want prime characters, they did a great job with the twins skyquake and dreadwing, so I'd love to see starscream and maybe some predacons.

I like G1, but I think it’s been overdone. I kinda want to see some more Animated figures. I hope we get an Animated Megatron.

Two things, you forgot to fold up Windblade's tail fins into jet mode, and Chase's side siren things are on the wrong sides

Haven’t had a chance to mess with Magneus or Bumblebee yet, but Chase and Windblade are such a breath of fresh air. Windblade is definitely my favourite toy of the character. That fan is absolutely going to be accidentally thrown out. I almost threw mine out with the paper. Also: stop giving me ideas for Top Gear Crossovers. I would love a Crossover Stig. So much.

Id lyk my thoughts on at least 1 figure from this line, but im still waiting to even see one in person

Honestly i just bought Bee because A.) i dont have a bee, and B.) i love compact cars and this is probably one of the only compact car alt modes for bee in a while (reactivate probably counts but i dont want a starscream)

My one problem with the Bumblebee is. Why is the front of the car not the feet. It ends up on the heels instead! It's right there!
