'Absolutely Killer' Dirt Bike Rebuild | 1996 RM250
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Hello friends: My 1996 RM250 restoration is complete : ) This is just a reassembly video. The final reveal is coming later (it looks sick)...
I have to start watermarking my videos because of content theft. I hope it's not distracting and you can still enjoy the video.

You know what, that would make for a great title. I'm gna borrow that, thank you!
The most important thing about this build is that the bike got the respect it deserves by being built in the living room! Awesome.

Blue balling us all for that final reveal and start up haha. Looks amazing man, top work as always 👏
Marc, the bike looks incredible, looking forward to the final step and seeing it run.
I wish I had a big garage like yours.. I'm currently rebuilding (slowly) a RM 250 93 model. I've been recording myself tearing the bike down and spraying the frame but to be honest I haven't actually got any filming/editing skills so it's all new to me. Anyway loving your rebuild! You're obviously a talented man. Keep up the good work!! x

Great to see you back, cant wait for the final reveal! Also its a shame people are taking your content and posting it as their own, but remember..... imitation is the highest form of flattery! You must be doing something right :)

i am allomost a bit jellous. were did you get all the new parts from? for my RM 250 from 1997 i can not find many plastic and rubber parts. i think in the US its much easier to find it the here in the EU. but nice to watch. hope you have fun with her.

@@madmarc nothing special at the moment, i just changed all the swingarm bearings and had to order the bolt and some smaller parts, luckily some cr-250 stuff fits also to the suzi. i had to repair the aluminum part were the bearings sit in, a new one would cost 600€. also i saw some other videos from you, i saw you repaired many things your self, great job! i thought about a total rebuild, but i cant afford all the parts needed, so i just drive her as she is. just rode today, she´s running 🙂
i would love to see you do a steel frame yz250 or 125 between 02-04

i think if i ever did a YZ it would be one of the earlier ones from the McGrath era, maybe a 98. Or an early 90s WR.
👍👍👍
Is that the original CDI and stator? If not, where did you buy replacements from?
@madmarc
4 ай бұрын
It's an aftermarket CDI that came on the bike when I bought it. This is the model # printed on it: CD2206D www.hpi.be/item.php?item=CD2206D Stator is oem used from ebay.

@madmarc

Thanks man I used a Canon m50 with the standard lens for most of this video, but for the shots with the blurry background i used a Sigma 16mm lens. I'll probably use that lens more in my next project.
Give me to Indonesia 😂❤
OK I buy it from you for a $1000 because it's an old bike from 1996 😁Just kiddin' of course since you did an outstanding job sir👍

You inspire me. If you were going to buy a 250cc two stroke dirtbike from the 90s to early 2000s , what would it be? What is easiest to work on and find parts? I like the Honda cr, but your thoughts? Thx
@madmarc

Thanks man, but it's impossible for me to say because there's so many factors in that decision. What I would encourage you to do is check out the @TheMotocrossVault 's "Classic look back" videos and you'll get a really good idea of how bikes from that era were.
Bike restoration is complete… to be continued at the end. You’re lame af for that and Ill never watch another video
