Absolute Liability - MC Mehta vs Union of India 1987 - Oleum Gas Leak Case Explained in Hindi
MC Mehta vs Union of India is a landmark case in which Justice PN Bhagwati laid down the principle of absolute liability which was different from Strict Liability principle given in Ryland vs Fletchers because in MC Mehta v Union of India case aka Oleum Gas Leak case, the Supreme Court imposed no fault liability on industries without any exceptions.

Thank you so much😊
Rylands v Fletcher is in 1868, you have written here as 1886 and while narrating you said 1866 - I pray to god, that you aren't a practicing lawyer.☠

@@ayushee6638 had this been any other subject other than Law.. I woudn't care to comment. But LAW is a specific endevour and the dates/facts are essence of the subject - hence cannot be compromised. Also, I am not a ardent criticiser or opponent of this content creator. I just corrected him/her. He/She can take it as a feedback and be careful in future.

Next day exam
you are wrong dear! Rylands vs Fletcher case was held in 1868 while Mc Metha vs Union of Hindustan case held in 1986. ..... Hence proved: The concept of Absolute liability is given by English jurist.

Didn’t Ryland vs Flecher use the concept of strict liability and not absolute liability?
