Absolute "Codfest" 2022 Murray cod bait fishing from a boat with cheese and worms
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
The cod were biting like crazy when my dad and I went Murray cod fishing with cheese and worms recently. I say cod were biting, and not just Murray cod, because as you will see there were plenty of trout cod in the mix.

Love watching you and your dad fishing together….when my dad was alive my brother and I would marvel at his skill in catching fish. He passed this passion onto us and now we have to have shared this love of fishing to our sons, daughters and grandchildren. what a great session Robbie, a cod is a cod though and you both caught fish a job well done. I myself am in Cohuna at the moment and in 4 sessions in three days i have caught 11 Murray cod all between 45-70cm and 1 yellow belly 40cm and 1 (not exactly sure of exact name) silver/spiny bream I think 38cm, all on soft plastic vibes and spinnerbaits, which are all new records for me as I have been coming to Cohuna for years and probably only caught half a dozen small cod in the five years. P.S. these are all caught in the Gumbower creek in the middle of town. Cheers.

Love watching you hang out with your dad and catching some nice fish> Its always nice when you go fishing with your father I love it because sometimes we bet like a hot chocolate or coffee or something on it for a bit of fun. I was just wondering how do you know the difference between a trout cod and a Murray cod.
@robbiefishing
Жыл бұрын
Thanks Chase. There are a number of differences. There's a stripe through the eye of the trout cod. Spots instead if mottled markings and an over hanging top jaw, whereas a murrau cod has the overhanging lower jaw.
For an endangered species, you saw a few of them. Good to see the stocking and preservation efforts working well. Dad was obviously just working for quality, not numbers.
