Nothing is optimal...good knowledge about the area, 3-4 publications and writing skills are enough to get postdoc

Sir, I have recently completed my Ph.D. from IIT and worked on Probiotic edible films and coatings and gluten free food products. Currently I am looking for Postdoctoral position so that later I can get the job in R&D sector in Food industry in abroad. This is difficult to get job in industries directly without any experience in abroad. Is there scope in my research field (Food Biotechnology, edible coatings) in USA? Which would be better options Europian countries or USA in my research field? Your suggestions are most welcome and appreciated. Your analytical and food research area have scope. you should get job in Industry. Getting industry job abroad in tough and rare.. but you can get postdoc and later transition.

Sir, my PhD topic is Microbial production of natural Food color, I affiliated in BHU. I also isolated new strain of colours producing bacteria, color have anti-cancerous property. Sir Whats possibility of this field in postdoc in USA.

Yes, Most of the time. but you can take it from any know PI, collaborator, and asst. prof. /professor from any university..

I have a query, If one person get selected for Postdoc in US, whether he need to travel US with his own money or its provided by the host institution. How to manage the first one month & how much money can manage it till getting the first salary. Please explain in terms of INR.

postdoc is temporary training for academic career path. good for short term but in longer run you need to choose academic or industry career path.

Ask her to prepare for GRE to get in best labs.. once you are here, ask her to volunteer in labs, internal contact also matter a lot.. she should get easily
