About the Channel

I am passionate about history, literature and art and love meeting and connecting with people. I offer both in-person walking tours in London, and also online talks and presentations about fascinating topics (the videos you can see on the channel so far).
The in-person tours always bring a fun bunch of curious people, and after a 2-hour stroll around some interesting angle of London's history we refresh ourselves with a social trip to a local pub. Good times!
I look forward to meeting you!

Thank you for doing these videos for us. I just found you as I was looking to learn more about King Tut and I really appreciate this wealth of information and understanding the effort you take to put these videos together. You are doing a great service for us all. I am in Florida so I will be subbing and setting the bell for your channel.. thank you again … Brian

You are a terrific presenter. Your zoom talks are wonderful: clear, informative, great personality. It will be amazing to take one of your live tours. I will try to reach out next time I am in the UK. I am in California now - a bit far for a walk. Thank you for what you are doing. So refreshing, educational and informative.

I just found you yesterday... subscribed, but then, somehow... youtube says your channel has been taken down! When I tried to get back in, using the above address (for ANY of the videos), it says 'Video taken down' ! So now I don't dare close this as it won't open up again. Do you know anything about this?? (ARE YOU THERE??)

I can only assume that maybe Edward was a bit disheartened by the low count of ticks and subscriptions at the time he was making these excellent talks which he clearly spent considerable time and effort in producing. The popularity of these few video's clearly indicate that the appreciation is shining through, at last!

Recently started learning about the history of my local area thanks to only just discovering Flickr. the stories and building, infastructure that are no longer there is fascinating and doesn't have any acklodgement. Which has in turn kicked off my interest in history. Really liked the street name videos. You got any plans for doing talks of suburbian London?

Thanks for the feedback :) What is your local area if you don't mind me asking? I don't have any plans at the mo to do suburban london, although places like woolwich and charlton are on my radar as I recently moved there. Not quite suburban today but once was!

@@edwardcalcutt3417 ohh we aren't too far from each other. My local area is Brockley, Lewisham. For example nunstation used to be a 4 platform station once carrying the crystal Palace service and still a couple of remains in place if you know where to look. Brockley Lane disused train station, Old former pubs, bomb sites now converted to schools, ancient footpaths and I bet there's More waiting to be discovered. If you are ever in Plumstead check out mayplace Lane, it is a ancient road leading to a.... I'll let you discover that 😊😊.
