It's not a mod, but I believe it could be because it has potential and looks really cool. A fun fact about the AU that I didn't put in the video according to ratatwang: 'Hikki' doesn't exist in this AU, Dream space Mari is real Mari, no alter ego. And as well as no Hikkiomori, considering that Mari wouldn't just lock herself in for years and do the same response as Sunny. There are two main routes I plan on; Daybreak and Polar Night. Although the events have made Mari a little more introverted, she still holds onto her desire for communication and a desire to fix her damaged friendships (except for Hero's, they are close in this AU).

I think a good idea for it would instead of having Mari just be named Mari in her headspace, instead she could be named after the brand of her brother's violin. Same way as her brother sees his headspace self as the name of her piano.

i love the lore of this au, but i can’t help but feel like sunny’s death isn’t as big of a deal as mari’s was… like even hero’s much happier and basil is the only one that seems to be the most affected. no one but him realizes that she’s technically to blame because in this instance he killed himself because of HER pressure. does she not feel that??

I understand your point, but each one of the characters have been impacted severely by his death; just in different ways. Basil is probably the most external and internal sign of this, while Hero and Kel are more internally, rather than external. That's why the group split to two, because one half denies that Mari had any affiliation, while the other half either blames her outright (Basil) or is suspicious, uncertain (Kel, Aubrey).

​@@milaliah in some aspects yes, but not to the degree that Sunny was. She is aware of his death, and blames herself for it, however it is not like how Sunny treated it; completely shut in and forgot everything about the incident. Rather, Mari has an over dependence on Hero, and became much more clingy to him following his death.

The best idea of this AU is that Mari does not become like Sunny, a shut-in Hikikomori. OMARI was a good start to the world of AUs, but that part made it less believable. Here, Mari actually has friends and goes out. She is still the same kind girl, but OF COURSE she has problems with her emotions, expecially considering the probable outburst after the failed recital, and the consequences. She is now 21 (if the recital happened when 16), which means that if she wants to mend the relations with the gang she has to do it in the short time of the summer vacation from college. Let's say... 3 days left? ;) And surely the few friends she made are probably in college, so in Faraway she will only have Hero... Finally, the Hooligans do not have Aubrey as their leader, nor Kim.

I think omari or similiar au's can make sense in that mari actually killed sunnu directly. Accidental but still That would severely fuck her up more, especially if she actually fake his death from a moment of panic I can see her in that scenario shuttimg herself off more due to major ptsd and trauma Not like sunny did. But if she never got treatment etc i can see her degrading over time like people irl can

Honestly, i love this au, but i feel like kel would take it a little harder. I mean, he'd still act happy and all, but like they were best friends even before basil.

This is actually really well planned and it could be a very good mod i understand how the charecters move along with the tragedy and they have good designs its not all over like other fan made things it actually has a plot, theme, even though its new it could be very good with how it is right now im glad that the plot is actually good it could make a good fan made game and a good story keep up the good work wirh this!

I agree, I believe he took a lot of care, affection and was very creative and intelligent with the AU.

I can picture Mari slaping Sunny after the failure of the recital, and she was so angry with how things turned out that she even dropped the f bomb at Sunny, not knowing that would be the last thing she would ever say to him.

Its interesting to see that Basil views Mari in a better light than Mari views him. From what was said here, I feel like theirs little reason for Mari to hate, especially more than him, or am I interpretating that Friendliness chart wrong?

(It's swapped, Basically Basil views Mari very poorly (10%), and Mari to Basil at 30%), A lot of people were confused with it when I first made it last year, hope that helps out ^^
