I bought a 2004 Starcraft 19' Travelstar. Much better built. Full three way fridge. Full stove w oven& burner cover. More cabinets. Wardrobe. closet. Bolted to floor table leg. Full front storage under & two outside compartments. Bumper storage. I had no idea I had such a good model until I saw this. Please check my brand out to compare. I guess I lucked out as I was not familiar with hybrids. Always had pop ups. Shop around.

Wow! That sounds amazing. We just bought one just like this and yours sounds so much better. But we already just got it today. We can always try this out and upgrade after a while.

Great Review. Before you close the bunk ends...turn on the inside fans if you have them and button up all the windows and doors and the suction from the fan will suck in the fabric bunk ends without you having to manually tuck the fabric in.

Just purchased this exact model. We have the smaller wall A/C. I probably watched this video 10x before I went to buy it. Thanks for the great video, review and tips. Your video played a big part of getting my wife onboard to buy and convincing me not to purchase a 24' to 30' heavy camper. We are upgrading from a Popup. Camping in the driveway tonight. Thanks

Very helpful. Thanks! We had a pop up camper for about five years. Lots of great memories but so much packing and set up! Went to a travel trailer about two years ago and whoa, it was so nice but hauling it was a pain. We have sold it and are now looking at the perfect in between...a hybrid.

I also came from tents camping mostly on hunting trips the older I get I also wanted a bathroom just like you and did not want to sleep on a cot. We invested in a Rockwood Roo hybrid camper 21 foot with a slide-out bought it used 10 years old got a good price on it and they're fantastic you're absolutely right I really love it for what I use it for. If we ever step up to sirius camp trips for weeks at a time I might get more of a conventional camper but I really liked it. Great video thanks for sharing

We just got ours and we are so excited! We started in tents and then the pop up for 10 years and we just bought our first hybrid just like yours today a 2012 model except ours is set up for off grid with solar and batteries and we were used to off grid with mr buddy heater on cold nights and propane cooker outside but now we have a bathroom and shower! Yay! And a bigger fridge! My favorite part is the easy setup! And the packing! Can't wait to use it!

Open the vents while you are camping, and it won't "rain" on you. Learned that on our first outing with our hybrid.

Hi Sonya, Had considered a hybrid (Jayco Jay Feather 16XRB) before going for a compact single axle all hardside bunkhouse with a queen bed for our first camper. The hardside was about $4K cheaper that also factored into the decision. Also concerns with interior climate and exterior noise control issues plus potential for tent/canvas material to deteriorate over long term. Always had that fear from tent camping that in middle of the night a bear or some crazy nut will go on your tent with an axe or machete so safety & security was another concern for going with a hardside. Are climate & noise concerns in hybrids valid? As you said, remember the condensation issues from tent camping. Thank You and Many Happy and Safe RV travels.

I've recently learned from youtube videos that taking out things that came with the camper can negatively affect the resale value of the unit if you decide to sell it. So perhaps it's a good thing that you decided against taking out the heater.

4:00 I have always thought the shower was a dumb idea. No one really uses them. Camp grounds have showers. Or you can set up an outdoor shower real cheap and easy. I rather have the storage room. . PS I don't came in the winter.

A campground we love to camp at(fantastic fishing) does not have shower houses , just bathrooms, so a shower in a camper is AWESOME.

I usually don't have issues with the pop up, but we travelled this Fourth of July week and I could feel a little bit of wind when the multitudes of truckers and big travel trailers passed us. Sway and making sure the tongue weight isn't too much for my Explorer are my biggest concerns in moving up to hybrid.

It works ok, Just cost of heating the water with gas, it's very small. I would rather use that space for storage. And the campground showers are nicer and included in the stay.
