Abortion & Karma: Acharya Shree Yogeesh's Opinion on a Controversial and Sensitive Subject | EP 27

Ойын-сауық

The moral, legal, medical, and religious ramifications of induced abortion are all addressed in the protracted, ongoing abortion debate. The issue most obviously polarizes around supporters of the self-described pro-choice and pro-life movements in English-speaking nations. The pro-life stance contends that a fetus is a human being deserving of legal protection, independent of the mother's will, whereas the pro-choice view emphasizes a woman's right to physical autonomy. In the mainstream media, where terminologies like abortion rights or anti-abortion are typically preferred, both terms are seen as laden.
Acharya Shree Yogeesh focuses on a sensitive and controversial topic: abortion. In general, whenever there is killing involved, karma is collected. The amount of karma collected depends on the intention -- were they forced to have an abortion, were they raped, or is it a result of being careless and escaping responsibility?

*Abortion is generally wrong* according to me. But, in situations such as rape and sexual assault, after the man is punished, the lady has every right to decide "whether or Not" to go for an abortion.

@@crucialknowledge3368 No. A raped woman has the right to abort the baby. And, that is not a big sin. Killing the "rapist", is Not a sin. And, neither is aborting a raped fetus, a sin.

@@crucialknowledge3368 A featus is not a baby. It *has no conciousness* unlike a 3 month old unborn infant. Therefore, a lady who is raped and became pregnant, can go for an abortion within one or two months time. Because, after that the featus will slowly start becoming a baby, and will start gaining conciousness. So, before the featus becomes a baby, it is Not a sin for a raped lady, to go for an abortion. It's her personal choice, whether you accept it or not.

@@crucialknowledge3368 But, if the human is *"forcibly put" into a lady's womb,* then, it is not a sin for the lady (the poor victim) to get an abortion.

If you hear him . He says that he doesn't want to label what's the right decision . Whether you'll collect karma or not, depends on the situation and your choice of decision.

Both ways is exactly right. I feel similar to acharya shree. I don’t support the government dictating whether or not a woman can get an abortion, and I don’t support women getting abortions if at all possible. Most women only choose an abortion because they don’t feel supported. It’s very easy to be pro life and pro choice.

With deep spiritual understanding, we will realize that in the case of a raped woman, both the experience and the child that follows, are all included in her karmic basket for this lifetime. Accepting the experience coupled with all the humiliations and difficulties involved in bringing up the kid result in Karmic purification. In fact, the child might grow up to become a spiritual master. Jesus was a wonderful historical example. God is just and does not make mistakes.

Parents freedom is one, what about the embryo’s or baby’s freedom? The Baby wants to live! - It has no voice because of parents choice?? Why not Government Make a RULE that the one who fathers the baby has to take care of the baby. - There should be not a single case of some adult changing someones life and running away - Shouldn’t this be Government’s responsibility too?
