By studying the stars in search of a cure for their disease, Necrontyr somehow managed to find something no mortal could have noticed before. An incredibly powerful being of pure energy, feeding on the blight-bringing light of their sun. And so, in desperation, they reached out to this incorporeal creature, forged it a body made from their living metal, and brought it to material existence. As more of those beings followed across the galaxy, the Necrontyr, in awe of their power, called them C'tan - the Star Gods. They were nigh all powerful and always hungry beings, of which first, and perhaps the most terrifying, was mighty Aza'gorod - the Nightbringer.
