    I just got that exact one a week ago. I have a 94 lbs Fishing Kayak and it works perfect! I deliberately took it over rough terrain just to see how it worked and it never failed. A must have for Kayaks. Thanks for the video.

    People, put that cart closer to center and that will make your yak almost weightless, trust me its much better and mine has a 46lb battery and gear and I can use three fingers and take it to the water, and i walk far sooo !!!

    Great video! After watching this I finally got my kayak to balance on the cart properly, it only took me six years to figure out! From watching this video I realised that the crucial element is which part of the kayak that you balance on the cart!

    Any feedback after using it? I'm looking for a cart and have thought about purchasing this exact model. Have been hesitant as I've been looking for some reviews. How does it handle having weight on your kayak(crate, anchor, rods, etc)? How about storage of the cart on the kayak once out on the water?

  • @edhughes1891
    @edhughes18914 жыл бұрын

    Your incorrect in how you did the straps-crossing from front to rear bars. The cart will twist when moving any distance and over anything but a sidewalk. Then the boat will be "crabbing" and hard to steer. You have the cart oriented right, but you tightly go from the bar toward the rear of the boat-the one with the kickstand-and then push the boat from the rear.

    @@bellbouy for loose ground or sand your best bet is to use Beach/Balloon Wheels - you can go to suspenz.com and see the carts that are great for fishing kayaks and go thru sand and gravel will ease.

  • @Suspenz

    @Suspenz

    4 жыл бұрын

    Hi Ed, we agree... if is best if you use two sets of cam-buckle straps as that will stop the load from shifting and stops the cart from folding when going over large bumps. One thing that Suspenz has done different from that cart is the platform has a slight v in the design so the kayak will be more stable on the platform when loading and transporting the yak. Another point on putting the kayak in the center of the cart is so the cart carries the load, if you put it towards the end - you carry more of the load - there is a video on Suspenz.com on how to load a center cart that may be helpful. Lastly - Airless wheels are an added benefit - as you never have to worry about getting a flat in the middle of your adventure. These carts will cost more than the $40 for the one in the video - it is a different cart that has been well thought out in its design. Hope this perspective is helpful when what to look for when choosing a cart.

    The best trick for the roof rack is putting a bath mat on the top back corner of your car. Set the front of kayak on that and slide over the carpet and up to the rack then put the bath mat away. Cheap it out on a KZread video.

  • @bellbouy

    @bellbouy

    It can be done, there is a youtube on it. You put your strap around the roof rack and the tote. Put the tote foam side down on the rear window. you put the bow between the wheels and from the stern walk it up the back of your car, the kayak rolls up the wheels. You need to put a temp strap or rope on the stern to the rear of your car to keep it from kicking out when you are first putting the bow on the wheels. Haven't tried it yet but will this weekend
