    I've used the Able Carry Max (ACM) for several years and it's the best travel bag I've ever used. I also have the Tom Bihn Synik 30 and the Alpaka Travel Backpack (do not buy this). The organization of the ACM is also pretty good (the Synik 30 has better compartments), but its durability and layout is top notch. You failed to mention the "hidden" pocket with a zipper on the top rear of the Able Carry Max, which almost touches your neck when you're wearing the ACM. And I agree with the quirks of the laptop compartment, although I love that I can store flatter items (e.g. a power strip, several flat toolkits). Having said all this, I recently purchased an Evergoods CAP2L in X-Pac and it's really well designed. I've been looking at either the CPL28L or the CTB35L because of their great builds. Your video is certainly pushing me in that direction but for now, the ACM is one of the best travel backpacks on the market. But great review - subscribed

    good catch on that missed pocket! Thanks for dropping by and sharing your thoughts and subbing! I have the CTB35L and it's such a great bag. For me it has the same issues as mentioned in this video but it's just a lovely bag overall. I don't think you'd regret getting it! I'm planning to do a few more of these 2 bag comparisons in the near future if I can get through these house repairs.

    I have the Aer TP3 and the Minaal Carry-on 3.0, as well as the Aer Pro Pack 24. The TP3 is my go-to carry-on for longer trips. Of all of them I like the Able Carry best of all

    @@michaelhunt6664 I'm pretty interested in trying the Minaal Carry-on 3.0 someday. and I think AER is a brand i'd like to get some more experience with. I was impressed with the one AER sling bag I've tried. You might be able to help some others with thier decisions if you can identify the reasons you like the Able Carry Max more than the other bags.

    If I were you, I would sell both. The big no-no of the Able Carry, as you pointed out, is the design of the front pocket. That, to me, is a design flaw. As for the CPL, I agree with you that the laptop compartment is overly spacious. It's just a waste of space. I have the 24l version. I'm 5.9, and since I prefer wearing backpacks higher up on my back, the comfort of the CPL24 is very, very good. Also, due to the design of the unique back panel. I used this bag for a 5 day trip. In the computer compartment, I also put in two shirts, besides a laptop, to maximize space usage.

    I have a lot of backpacks! Some I keep just for the style. Some I use for a bit and then move on to something else. I also realize the perfect bag changes by the day. So I try to keep a little bit of positive attitude towards things!

    I saw that Able had different types of xpac fabric depending on color? Whats the difference between vx 21 vs x42?

  • @KendrickDischCreative

    @KendrickDischCreative

    Күн бұрын

    VX21 and X42 are both tough X-Pac fabrics, but they've got some differences. VX21 is lighter with a 3-layer design and 210D nylon face, while X42 is beefier with 4 layers and 420D nylon. X42 is more durable and water-resistant, but also heavier and pricier. You'll see VX21 in lighter backpacks and bike bags, while X42 shows up in heavy-duty packs and travel gear. Basically, VX21 is the lightweight champ, and X42 is the tough guy for rougher use.

    Would you recommend the ctb 35 for single bag European travel?

    It’s a great bag! I don’t like the way it carries on me, rides too high and the shoulders slip off, it the bag design is great and it’s a solid bag! Could work for single bag travel if you can squeeze your stuff into 35L.

    Hi Kendrik, I love your 11C's comparison strategy. It is absolutely brilliant. You might want to add one more 'C' to that, i.e.. 'Customer Service', because I would love to know how their customer service is, after I purchase a product from a backpack company. It really matters a lot for someone like me, especially when its purchased from a country outside its origin and does not have a branch or a service center in the country where he/she resides (I am presently residing in India). Don't you agree? Anyway, I am in the process of purchasing a 28L travel backpack. Is there any other product that is better than this Able Carry Max featured in this video? It must be light and must be a winner (by your 11 C's comparison standards). A big con with the Evergoods backpack velcro patch is that I feel it if is not covered by some patch (logo), then it could ruin the clothing of a person standing behind you. Standing and moving in a line is quite common while boarding or getting off a flight. Sometimes some people may get too close for your comfort and if that happens, the Velcro surface could ruin the clothing of the person standing immediately behind you. Velcro surfaces have ruined some of my clothing in the past and I wouldn't want anyone standing behind me, to pay a price from that exposed velcro space. Keep up the good work.

    thanks for the comment! adding the "customer service" is a good idea. Not sure how I could reasonably test that though? and it might fall under the "company" one too... but it's a good thing to keep in mind for future videos! Regarding the velcro... it's the soft velcro side, so I don't think there's any chance or ruining anyones clothes just by brushing against it. Plus it's very small. another pack to checkout for travel stuff is the Pakt 35L Travel Backpack. It's quite good, but yes, a bit bigger than 28L. I have the 45L version and it's really smart but it's a bit too big. There's a discontinued LowePro travel backpack I really like called the LOWEPRO - HighLine BP 400 AW 36L and it is really perfect for me, but you're probably not going to find it except maybe on Ebay. I did a review of the smaller version called the BP 300 AW and it's 22L. The Able Carry Max, the Evergoods options, maybe something from AER (haven't tried yet), are really good options. The good thing is that there are SO MANY options in the 28-30L range that there is definitely a bag for you!
