Ability to trust others after interpersonal trauma

How do you learn to trust again after trauma and abuse? Interpersonal trauma during childhood can destroy the ability to trust in others and oneself.
In this video I share a few tips that helped me heal those trauma wounds so I can feel safe enough to trust again
What would it feel like in your body to be able to trust?
Definition of trust from Merriam-Webster dictionary: "Assured reliance on character, ability strength or truth of someone or something; One in which confidence is placed"
Struggling with feeling connected to your body?
On this page you find a video series with a few tips on self-awareness, inner and outer boundaries and staying true to yourself.

How do you think people accomplish their goals if they don’t trust in themselves. How trust a person who is always changing and don’t remember the things that make people don’t believe in them?

Biggest challenge after neglect and emotional abuse... you just naturally don't feel safe around people .

Definitely a big topic. Due to severe gaslighting in my childhood I have come to feel unsafe around people. Even after a year in therapy. I don’t believe and feel people will have my best interests no matter what they do. Thank you for this x What scares me more than people intentionally hurting me is when people do it ignorantly. My mother was a narcissist and whenever I’d confront her she’d say I didn’t mean it and continue again and again.

It is hard to rewire our brain to feel safe enought to trust a selected few people. it takes so much patience and courage. I am glad you have a therapist to help you with this

I just had my son lie to me again. I have been lied to all my life and I can’t take one more. I told him to leave the house because it’s effecting my nervous system. People may think this is harsh but my stomach lives in knots all the time.

lying is such a complex coping mechanism and being lied to can sure dysregulate the nervous system

I really despise being lied to. It makes me really angry. A lot of people lie to me so that's why I don't trust many
