Psalm 15:1 Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent? Who may live on your holy mountain? The tent is the tabernacle in the wilderness as the Israelites were going to the Promised Land where God dwelt among men. There in the tabernacle in the Holy of Holies was the very presence of God. David also spoke of the holy mountain. The holy mountain is mount Moriah in Jerusalem where the temple was to be built; it had not yet occurred in David’s day. David’s son Solomon built that temple. There in the temple, Solomon’s temple on mount Moriah was where God dwelt among men in the Promised Land. Now David asked this question, who is going to abide, who shall dwell that close to God? David knew there was a way for man to be in God’s presence.
Psalm 15 gives us 9 practical ways by which we can walk in the presence of God.
1. Blameless Walk.
2. Righteous deeds.
3. Truthful heart.
4. Graceful talk.
5. Good neighbor.
6. Hates evil.
7. Honours the godly.
8. Keeps his word.
9. Not oppressive.
