White lines are not creating discord. Your personal choice is understandable but it doesn’t add or subtract anything to the musical experience.

Eyes are going towards his socks again and again. It's bit awkward.

Is this a fashion show ?? Grow up man ! Look at his fingers not his feet and hear the great music !
while playing indian classical music we should also follow our tradition of not wearing socks.

Dinanath Kulkarni with your logic maybe we should then start critiquing classical performances in Hindi or other Indian languages. Why are you using English? 🙄

It is considered disrespectful to show your feet to the audiences hence in olden times performers put a shawl or cloth to cover their feet.. socks serve the same purpose I think... don't you think its smarter to stick to the logic of the tradition than the tradition itself...

At any point in time, we've to use what works the best ! So not an issue to use socks !

The respect doesn't come by not wearing socks but by knowledge and bring loyal to the instrument, which he is. In this case, the socks could be simply used as warmers and only wore during performance since the auditorium is ac. Artists always want to keep themselves warm. On other note, enjoy the performance instead of criticizing for such frivolous things
