The Vijayanagar Empire, which ruled South India from the 14th to the 16th century, was known for its cultural patronage and architectural splendor. The empire was a melting pot of various art forms, including dance, music, literature, and sculpture.
The production pays homage to this cultural legacy, presenting an exquisite portrayal of the empire's grandeur through the medium of dance.
This production features original content, music, creative visuals and choreography narrating the mythological and historical importance of the empire from the time it was built till it declined due to Bahamani Invasion.
This video is first in the series that showcases the beginning of the production which speaks of the present condition of the Vijayanagara and offers an invocatory dance where the dancers salute Lord Viroopaksha the presiding deity of Hampi temple who is now the only witness to rise & fall of the mighty empire.
