Really great lecture over abdominal imaging. It really helps having an image side by side of normal vs pathology, with explanations and arrows. Great investment of time, recommend for any medical student.

Hey there blessings to you and your family! I watched this video and gave a full view! I needed to see this video because I'm going in for another ultrasound of my right side! I have terrible pain in the upper right side that radiates down my pelvic as well as neck shoulder and back! My right leg aches and the heel of my right feet goes numb! Constipation has played a role since I contacted h pylori 3yrs ago but the h pylori has been eradicated! I've suffered with this pain on my right side for 3 years and still now! The doctors dont know what's causing it but I keep losing weight and have very little appetite! I pray this ultrasound shows what I've been crying out for them to find out so I can get my life back! I really appreciate you taking the time to show and explain in detail about the abdominal area and using your knowledge to better help someone like me who needs help finding out what this issue may be! Thank you so much! God BLESS ❤🤗🙏😇

You are EXCELLENT with the slides. In a classroom, setting I'd probably need a minute to look at the slide...for orientation purposes... I know, we don't like idle time...but that allows everyone enough time to read and double check...even 20 seconds is nice. I know it's a video....but I also know many race through topics presuming our eyes will catch it all. I have a pause button...hehe And your pace and tempo is EXCELLENT, voice clear and direct and to the point...I didn't feel like I wasted a nano second.

I'm soo glad you've focused on the GI. I guess one thing we've learned about life in general is to keep stress level low and to take walks even in place for 1/2 hour or an hour...most can't go out in the middle of winter and with winter meals...we get more digestive issues that can be resolved watching our diet and staying active even if it means walking in place for 1/2 hour or cleaning the house or better yet walking in place and watching TV...so we don't really need to buy anything or much...given everything within the normal...but yes...if you suspect anything please do call a doctor immediately...we dont' guess at the GI. Did you know that even the vibration of our feet through our bones and muscles helps maintain the normal flora and give them a slight edge...at least that's what I was told eon, moons, wolves and howlings ago....

I think the case with the infarcted bowel...is nutritional as well...how acidic was that patients diet...in other words...we are WIC recipients for life weather we pay for the meal or it is provided with a voucher...how much citrus, cold cereals, warm cereals, pineapple juice, and other items describe by WIC....it is describe preconception, conception, birth to death etc...and we even give it credit for decreasing birth malformations etc... So agriculture really most economies have to be...and if we are not..then why do you eat first before going to work not in agriculture. So yes, we must insure agriculture is at it's best...and hence our agricultural department and secretary of state.

The next idea is what we term Italian Pasta. It is necessary for health...be it with white (olive oil and some parmesan cheese) pasta or tomatoes based pasta.... It clears your GI and all the ingredients are great for your muscles and in general diabetics....if you aint regular you will be...hehe I think the recommendation is 2 to 3 times per week (over all health, circulatory, GI and muscular and skin).... Rice 1 to 2 cups per day and max twice per week...is great for the CNS...after that and after 10 years or 20 years of consuming rice every day...you may suffer skin exfoliation issues often confused with tinea...and will not heal unless you go to the recommended 1 to 2 cups per day 2 per week...as well as keeping your starches to 1 per meal and not doubling... Why because folks aint eating enough vegetables in particular the green ones that are also known as mild dieuretics...etc.

So what's the point...we must combine diet and nutrition, we can't keep those two entities separate and must also consider them in Healthcare and Pharmacology... Why, because a doctors usual first diagnosis is usually wrong...and so we have terms like differential diagnosis and primary diagnosis and surround issues...etc.

I have been a radiographer for 20 years inc training and it has been about 15 years since an erect abdomen was an accepted request as a routine/or even supplementary view. Thats in the UK. Is it still acceptable elsewhere in the world. UK radiologists do not generally accept that erect views give enough extra info to justify the dose. We still do the odd decub when a patient is too ill to sit upright for ? Perf
