Me Too the 80s one is so catchy

The 1964 color ABC ident was v/o'ed by Michael Rye. During the 1970s and 1980s, Ernie Anderson was the voice for The Alphabet Network.

I bet ABC is #1 for most watched network

1970s abc is representing. Made me happy inside The only other that I liked was the 1990-2000 one. Very classy

I fondly remember the you'll love it slogan, and the somethings happening slogan.

I like the 1999-2000, but I do have to say, because of LOST, the Start Here promos are nostalgic for me.

ACLTony They took it from the hit song on the same name from Orleans. I still like "America's Broadcasting Company" in yellow myself although its a little more "In your face".

Do networks still come up with tag lines for their fall seasons? Whatever the creators of the 1971 promo were smoking, I want some of that =^)

Nice one, Nova May Solite that vid included some of the original, 'earworms' from my childhood.

Them 70's ones had a bit of a 2001: A Space Odyssey feel.

1987-1989 is the best :) .

Still the one from ABC TV 1977 was retitled we"re the ne for the start of Rupert Murdoch"s Sky Television [Here in the UK from 5th February 1989 Now British Sky Broaadcasting. GOD BLESS!

Watching those ABC logos from 1982 thru 1985, it made me think those ABC logos were very, very hot that you can't touch

NBC was first because they were owned by RCA at the time and the FCC approved that company's color TV system at the time and invested in studio cameras and other equipment for the network.

On "Jimmy Kimmel Live", there was a Spanish language "Scandal" sketch called "Escandalo". At the end, the ABC logo is based on the vintage color ident with different colors and it changed into ABSi.

Thank you! Really cool video. The 70's logos were God Awful. Boy do I remember those. The Still The One of the late 70's reeked. I always hated that song by Orleans. However, I really liked the 80's through current logos. ABC got those right. Again thanks for the memories. (:

I've been around since the late '60s and I don't recall ever hearing that. For the longest time ABC was considered an also-ran so I can see them attempting something like that.

Back in the day NBC was pretty much Numero Uno. At CBS they said, "We try harder." At ABC they said, "We'll try ANYTHING!"--and they did and thereby hung some schlock...AND some good, classic TV

No. Problem was, into the 70's, ABC suffered from not having much money, having to share affiliations with NBC and CBS stations, which didn't carry much ABC programming, and having to settle in many areas for then-hard-to-get UHF stations. 1970 was the first year ABC really mounted a challenge to NBC and CBS, primarily with a youth-oriented schedule.
