[EN] Montmajour Abbey (Abbey of St. Peter in Montmajour): former Benedictine abbey, which is situated approx. 3 miles northeast of Arles, in the department of Bouches du Rhône, France. It was founded in 948. At the end of the tenth century it became one of the richest abbeys in Provence. The monastery was abandoned in the late eighteenth century and destroyed during the French Revolution.

Fondée en 948, à la fin du dixième siècle, elle est devenu l'un des plus riches abbayes de Provence. Le monastère a été abandonné à la fin du XVIIIe siècle et détruite pendant la Révolution française.

Po lekko przerażającym początku, z przyjemnością oglądnąłem resztę. Bardzo ładnie skręciłeś to Jacku, fajnie się ogląda, do tego przyjemna muzyka. Fajny film. I fajnie z tą makietą na końcu wymyśliłeś. Dobra robota. Pozdrawiam!

Wiesz, chciałem na początku zacząć od małego horroru ;) Cieszę się Grześku, że filmik Ci się podobał, muzyczki szukałem trochę, by uzyskać odpowiedni efekt na początku. Z makietą trafiłem akurat przez przypadek, że filmowałem ją z tej samej strony, co budynki w realu :) Pozdrawiam serdecznie!

***** . . . verstehe ich sehr gut! Für mich läuft an derartigen Orten auch immer ein "innerer Film" - besonders, wenn man etwas über die Vergangenheit und die Funktion gelesen hat. Reisen in andere Länder ist immer wieder ein besonderes Erlebnis. Schönen Abend und Gruß aus Düsseldorf Konrad.

I loved this place. I recommend Arles for a first visit to France, and this is so close by. It can be gotten to with a rented bike from Arles. Otherwise, it's very close by car. I quickly lost my spouse in this vast place, and caught up with him later. There are interesting troglodyte graves here, too. If people go the first Sunday of each month, it's free!

Thank you for your comment! I agree with you, the Arles area is very interesting and diverse, you can visit for example Les Baux de Provence, the whole Camargue (with Saintes Maries de la Mer), Saint Remy de Provence etc.

***** People think of Paris, first, but they ought to consider Provence. (As well as other places.) I found Arles wonderfully casual and welcome to tourists, but in a great way. :)
