Growing up in the 70's I knew of ABBA but wasn't until recently I really started getting into them. All these years I had no idea what I was missing. Not only are the girls beautiful but their voices are just as beautiful. I can tell that they all love performing and have a great time on top of that. I truly have fallen in love with ABBA and have yet to hear a bad song from them. A truly amazing and wonderful band!!

Same here. I just started listening to them so often about 2-3 years ago and I love them more all the time. I think I heard somewhere that one of them had died. I wonder which one. I am a Benny fan on Facebook. 🤗 I wish I could understand them speaking & translate the posts.

Anni-Frid's voice live...Tremendous...powerful...captivating!

I'd challenge anyone who was to say that ABBA wasn't the best "all round" Pop band of the 70's+80's. This is flawless, and any artist since could learn everything there is to know about live performances, production and superbly crafted song writing. All of what we hear here is delivered with nothing other than skill, pure talent and absolute passion. These guys, love them or loathe them will be around forever. ❤

I’m not much into pop music - but if you can say no to ABBA you must be half deaf. Wonderful to see a show from the very late part of their career presenting new music... Those ABBA girls were both magnificent. Agnatha being the totally spot free technical genius singer, Frida being the one with more drama and swagger to her voice. But not to be misunderstood, they both sang straight from the heart... And the genius boys behind. Extra points to Bjørn for his perfect German speaking😊

Agnetha and Frida are both technically incredibly good singers. They are the crucial part of the Abba sound. Without Frida's mezzo-soprano, Agnetha's wonderful soprano voice would not be so well received.

I think you may have them the wrong way round, Frida is the technically better singer, Agnetha has the acting skills along with the amazing voice

I had the priviledge of seeing them live on their American tour 1979. Incredible songs, incredible performance! I have to give props to their band, all studio guys that toured with them. Phenomenal musicians. Seems ABBA themselves always get the credit, which is deserved, but their band filled that sound and helped make the recordings and shows so solid. ABBA's music still sounds fresh and will live on for decades!

I was one of the lucky ones, beeing a teenager in the seventies, in Europe. Their songs helped me with heartbreaks, with new loves, And with dancing. With choosing clothes. With choosing my haircolour. They we're big, they we're everywhere'. And their music was the best, more than the best. Those who haven't lived thoe days have really missed something extraordinary

The sound engineer is employed by the TV company.

In the studio, ABBA were pioneers in overdubbing and reverb. In this set, they have three backup singers, two guitars, two drummers and two keyboards to get those effects.

This is really great. It's actually really live unlike 95% of the footage of pop groups from the era that simply mimed their parts to a playback tape and it really shows the raw talent of this whole group.

I couldn’t agree more. After watching some of their live performances, I always was fascinated at how true it was to the recordings in the studio. I never get tired of the way the girls voices blend.

Their performance of Summer Night City here is just fantastic. One of my favourite Abba songs. The girls frilly blouses do look very dated but that doesn't matter, I just love their natural, strong femininity and the unique magic of their voices blending

I've loved Abba for so long...but I'm astonished by this even more than I thought I would be! The sound and energy is huge, the girls have totally incredible presence...a total masterpiece! Everyone playing seems to be a virtuoso.

great record. in their time, many people probably had no idea that they were watching a gem. only time proved it. in 1987 I was 15 years old and I said I am listening to ABBA, many people here in Czechoslovakia said - that's just a commercial group... but not so, it was a talent from heaven. that kind of music ended 25 years ago, it's been worse and worse since then. also the appearance of the singers. honor exceptions. and - their latest album.

Cette prise en plateau démontre la maîtrise de l'ensemble qui, je pense, devaient assurer les tournées. Elle est plus rapide que la version album. Being there in the audience would have been awesome. As for the band, you may already know that they're mostly the same artists that were with ABBA right through and including studio recordings. You'll see the same musicians in the Wembley concerts and in a few other live performances.

It's easy to read sadness in their faces as both couples were processing divorce. Agnetha is the sexiest woman ever stepped on earth.

RIP Liza Öhman and Lasse Wellander.

Brings back memories, but to me they're simply the best ever singers.

Im sitting here with tears in my eyes as ABBA brings back some wonderful memories of when I was a kid and when life was so simple compared to today. This was a fantastic little break from reality. Thank you for posting it 😂

It's good younger generations appreciate the Abba phenomena but nothing beats being there at the time and listening /watching them evolve . I was lucky enough to see them in concert at Wembley Arena , London back in 1979 . ( The concert was recorded and is shown quite often . Remember the group saying that Frida had a touch of the flu so Agnetha was going to take the lead on some of the vocals Frida usually sang .)

Look for Frida Fire and Ice

Wow. I tip my hat to this height of sophistication. The preparation, instrumentation and engineering is perfect. ABBA is famous for doubling and multiplying voices and instruments on their studio recordings. Astounding how they managed to get almost the same sound with only a handful of extra singers. Amazing also how they doubled each instrument except the bass and how well it works. I‘ve only had the chance to hear ABBA perform live to backup tapes. That didn‘t impress me as much as seeing and hearing this - except for the girls‘ dance moves, which are clearly missing here. 😊
