Frida looks astonishing beautiful here, her hair style, her make up, the long earrings, everything, those harmonies awesome as always and even more at the end with the little kids, great touch.

Her eyes too.
Frida is my hero. Seriously. I met her in 2010 at the Waldorf when ABBA got inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame.
Wait until you hear Frida singing Our Last Summer or Andante Andante. 😍

Andante, Andante is a real favourite of mine, too. I also agree about Benny's smile. Gorgeous! ❤
Hello again Luke, and congratulations for Your choice of ABBA songs These is a TV perfomance in Sweden 1982, for the BBC in UK, it was one of the last presentation of ABBA until their breakup "I have a dream" (1979) is from the album with disco sound "Voulez Vous" this album give four singles: Chiquitita Does your mother know Angeleyes/Voulez Vous I have a dream All this singles was Top 5 in UK, but no one could be #1 curiosly the two ballads "Chiquitita" & "I have a dream" pick #2 at the begin and at the end of 1979 another curiosly: 1979 was the "International year to the childrens of the world" and these is the only song in ABBA (until their comeback in 2021) with other people: a childrens chorus of Stockholm and "Chiquitita", with lyrics about a child, your royalties was donated to UNICEF forever two greatest ABBA songs with the childrens as protagonist another curiosly: for the great success in Latin America, then ABBA recording "Chiquitita" in spanish, it was a smash hit, and the second song that ABBA recording in spanish was: "I had a dream" ("Estoy soñando") with a official video too (first ABBA official video in spanish) I think that you could do reactions to ABBA singing in spanish Chiquitita, Estoy soñando, Gracias por la música are greatest choices I see you soon with more ABBA songs My best regards to You from Buenos Aires Argentina 🇦🇷 South America
I have a dream has to be my favorite song from Vuolez Vous album. Such a beautiful song with a message.
Beautiful. This song always reminds me of Christmas even though its not a Christmas song
So smooth and relaxing. Totally beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
Undoubtedly you felt the right vibe. This rhythm comes to us from Greek folk music. Really. It's a Sirtaki !
I do understand. The mandolin throughout the song gives it that feeling of being in Greece.

You probably said it right, always thought of a synthi, but the "warmth" of it is a mandolin, which is the whipped cream of the song in contrast to the ordinary-sounding covers that don't radiate any magic. Thank you for the info!

According to credits in the Voulez vous album It's an electric sitar ,the pace is actually Greek syrtaki dance to which Frida was also familiar after covering syrtaki Greek song in her Swedish 1975 album 'ENSAM''.

ps .It's Abba's Guitarist Janne Schaffer playing the sitar here in this.
Brilliant yes, true Luke! We were singing this song in school before holidays. Mamma Mia 1 starts and ends with this hymn actually🥰
Stunningly beautiful ❤
You may want to listen to "I'm a Marionette" from the mini-musical they wrote titled "Girl With the Golden Hair", which is a line from "Thank You for the Music", which is also in the musical.
Actually mandolin intrument was used in the intro of 'One of us' as well as banjo that was used in 'That's me'.Here there's sitar intrument. used in the main riff as oposed to the live '79 tour version that was replaced by Benny's piano performance.
Hi "HBK Luke", Yes, this is a lovely song, and hymn-like, as you said. Perfect for singalong-activities whenever there is a crowd waiting for something that is delayed, and you can feel people are getting irritated. This calms them down and cheers them up. Though, I have a hard time with children's quires. It i not about good or bad, it is more like as if I have an allergy. Like some people are allergic to strawberries, and my immune system goes berserk when there is a children's quire. Sincerely, Hanna
Hi, Luke! Great song... The 'mature' beauty of those girls is really gorgeous 😍😍! The voices and harmonies perfect as usual 👌. Both couples was divorced at that time..😢 (the girls exchanged positions in their presentations... Agnetha now appears next to Benny and Frida next to Björn...) Take care, Luke... Go on! ❤️🇨🇱👍
I've been an ABBA fan for about 47 years, since I became aware of them as a young teenager in the 70's. But I never have been able to tell who sang what songs until recently with internet access to videos. Their voices are so similar. I always picture Angnetha singing everything. I haven't given Anni-Frid enough credit. She sings lead in a lot of my favorites! I never knew!
They are angels this two beautiful woman ❤!I don't know but I was heard this melody from one Greek singer called Demis Roussos, don't know what is original song..but however its beautiful 💞
I believe a sitar was used for that unusual string sound.

Yes it's sitar and sounds familiarly close to a mandolin or even closer to Greek bouzouki instrument combined to the rythym of the song that is newer traditional Greek dance called 'Syrtaki".
Abba, Olivia N.J., Karen Carpenter and Linda Ronstadt the sweetest voices of the 1970s and 80s
Another really enjoyable and insightful take on Abba's music from you HBKL. You filter the emotions from the song with such purity, it's enough to make any newbie who hasn't heard the song to give it a try. 💕👍

On a special request, Björn and Benny recently wrote a song about children's rights to sing, they gave away the song for free. The song was called "Buller and Bång"
Sounds like a Mandolin Luke.
Oooh,I thought it was the version with all the children..
Does anyone know if these are live vocals from Frida?? If so they are exquisite!

Hi "TheFridaFan", Yes I believe it is live vocals. ABBA always firmly insisted on at least singback, also for minor performances on TV, so I'd be surprised if this was prerecorded. Sincerely, Hanna

I think they were after a Greek Bouzouki sound.
